    No shit.

Berry's one of the best safety prospects to ever enter the draft. He's a ball-hawking safety with a linebacker mentality.

I doubt Rodrique Wright has any bearing whatsoever on who the Jets draft or if they will target a 34 end this year. Neither does next year's class of DE's, because last I checked, we need at least 2 good ones and Shaun Ellis is getting up there. Tanny is gonna draft the best defensive player available.

Rodrique Wright has no bearing on who we draft, but this kid was a serious serious player back in high school, and in college.....and was considered one of the better D-lineman in the draft....If I remember correctly early on it was thought he would have a late first or second round grade.....but then it was discovered that he had a torn rotator cuff and would miss the majority of his rookie season.

That led to him falling like a rock in the draft.......think the fish grabbed him in the 6th or 7th.....

He's had some injury troubles, but when he was healthy the kid showed flashes of the talent he's got while with the Fins, and many expected him to be a part of their long term plans.....but with his numerous injuries, and the changes in regime, he didn't stick with them.

He could easily be TC fodder.......but I won't be surprised if this kid works his way onto the team, and provides us some real solid value. He's got all the talent, it's just a matter of his staying healthy, and Rex and crew being able to get him up to speed in time.

I won't be surprised in the least though, that if he stayed healthy, Wright was a big part of our d-line rotation a year or two from now.

What are the odds that we trade up for Berry?

As close to zero as you can get, unfortunately.
