Wow, great pickup. Now if we only had a LB that could get pressure on the QB........

I'm glad they addressed the running situation. Personally, I think Powell should be getting the bulk of the carries with Greene coming in to pound the rock in the 4th Qtr. We do need a presence out of the backfield in the passing game, so maybe Grimes can help there.

Did we not draft a RB from Georgia Tech who was everything that Greene is not?

In all honesty I don't think Grimes will make a difference, I hope he does but the Jets will face the third top five defense against the run this week, Pit, Miami and now the Niners.

I just hope they don't give up on the run and become a pass only team because MS will get killed against the San Francisco pass rush.

I would have taken Domanick Davis/Williams as well. A 4th rounder that gives you a few good years behind an awful offensive line is worth it in my opinion. At the very least, that's not a bust.

    Great signing

Simply because he can't be any worse than Shonn Greene.

can the guy catch? When Keller is healthy we still lack any threat out of the backfield for a dump down. Great way to get some cheap yards and to force teams to stay at home - which can open other things up.

When a RB's highlight real includes like 8 running plays, it kinda makes me wonder. Maybe he's another Stephen Hill. Maybe Grimer played in a pass first offense and only ran the ball 8 times.

i'm not expecting much at all really, but can we please get lucky on this one?

it really ticks me off how people like lesean mccoy, ray rice, arian foster, matt forte weren't high draft picks and are the best RBs in the league. i want to get lucky for once lol

The ability to use your blocks makes a huge difference, even if this guy doesn't have break away speed. It's the difference between greene lowering his head and running into the back of his blocker or the heart of the scrum and dodging to one side and picking up an extra few yards. That's the difference between averaging 2.8 (green) and 4+ (decent backs).

yeah i knew that. he was asked if he wanted to be drafted by the seahawks in the last round actually and he said no because he was so furious he wasn't drafted earlier. interesting fact of the day i guess.

anyway im just implying that i feel as if the jets never really strike gold in the later rounds and i guess that falls on mr t for trading away all those picks

I always find vision and shiftiness to be most important in a RB, the vision to find the hole and the shiftiness to hit it quickly and get 4,5,6 yards.......consistently
