Hodgins had a few good years a while back. Hopefully he's got something left, we need all the blocking we can get.
I'd sooner have kept Sowell and booted Askew. 260-lb. Joel Dreessen is another I'd have kept, but I'm not the HC. I guess if I've only got two guys on my list, we're not doing too bad.
Hodgins has great size and strength...He has been hindered by injuries over the last few years...But he'll knock a linebacker on his ass.
Nothing says success like signing a discarded member of the Raiders:wink: Seriously though, while I'm curious to see what Riddle can do I'm sad to see Trevor Johnson go. He had some very good games for us over the past few years--I guess he just didn't adjust to Mangini/Sutton's defense well.
Hey, though only 3 games, Rashad Moore has been solid in his stints at NT...And each week has increased his playing time since he is more effective... Anyway, Randy Lange said Hodgins was signed to the Practice Squad...Possibly meaning he still isn't at full health and will use the team facilities and rehab being a PS member...My guess.
I bet hodkins can stuff a big mac like no body's business. A tackling dummy would be a better blocker askew. I really like our front office making moves. Somethings wrong, lets fix it now, and not wait four years till fire our coach.
