Hahahaaaa you're the one that couldn't let it go the other night. Talking out of your ass AGAIN 1968jetsfake. _
let me see your warface, your real warface. That said, we'll see how he turns out. He's smart so he's got a chance. But in a QB hungry league where guys make or break their careers on drafting the right players and where QB's tend to be taken earlier than they should rather than later than they should he's still a day 3 QB and will be until he proves himself otherwise on the field. Just like all the other QB's who were in this draft because IMHO none of the others past the top 2 were day 1 or 2 QB's IMHO. And that's my opinion, take it or leave it I don't care. But I'll never be intimidated away from stating my opinion. Period.
Dude are you really so fragile that someone elses opinion and take on things offends you so much? You came after me this same exact way when I said Johnny Football needed to stop partying so much and pay attention to the job at hand. You said 'boys will be boys', 'You hate him, we get it', 'You don't know what you're talking about', etc. Same exact arguments you're using here...and what did Johnny do on the field ? Crapped the bed. Where did he wind up ? in rehab. What were reports coming from the Browns front office before he went to rehab? he'd better shape up or be shipped out. But whatever man, you just use the same argument over and over and over and over again when someone disagrees with your position and you harp on it over and over and over and over again.
Petty has a high ceiling because his arm is absolutely legit! Him sitting behind Fitz will help him tremendously. Lets just hope he can read Ds at the pro level.
Raiders finally did something smart, and chose football skills over measurables. was so hoping they'd be typical Raiders and pass on Cooper.
Smith Fitzpatrick Simms Petty That's what we've been dealt. Would it surprise anyone if Geno gets bumped by week 5?
i was wondering when it would happen but the discussion about our 4th round pick has more replies then the one regarding our first round pick! ps: Bryce is beautiful and I love him. GO JETS!
I don't get it either. It's like setting up the fail ahead of time and then saying 'I told you so, I told you it was stupid!' There were people having meltdowns, and shitting all over every pick, reacting to things. Now the dust has settled and it's starting to look like we have a chance. Plus Mac is getting mad respect across the board everywhere for everything he's done so far Enjoy the fuckn ride. Holy shit
The Michigan State Cotton Bowl game tape looked pretty good especially on that defense. He was going at Trae Waynes pretty successfully. I 100% support the notion he should never seen the field in 2015 but I have come around to the pick
Awww, you bought the lies..Namath is the Franchises best QB and I have never not been a fan of Namath. Also Loved O'Brien. And no, Namath didn't have the same beginning as Petty, Namath was the most perused QB's in the draft and the Jets won the bidding war with the NFL for him as each league had their own draft back then.
Fwiw, I think that's for two, or maybe three, reasons. The first one is that the Williams pick by all accounts was, if one gives any support to a BPA approach, a no brainer of a pick. The real controversy there is what the Jets will do with the mix of DL players, and we simply do not know that now, like what happens with Wilkerson. There will be plenty said here about that in time. The second is because Winston and Mariota went one two, and the Jets are far from set at Qb, this is an indication they recognize Smith is not set at Qb, and far from it. Least ways I see it that way as a way of having some optimism. Add it in with the Fitz move, and it's pretty clear to me that Smith's days are thankfully numbered. The third is really tied to the second, which is about the importance of the Qb position. It's just an intriguing pick overall.
