Most of the stadium expensives will be 50% off for each team (since both teams would pay half). There is going to be 160,000 seats with potential PSLs instead of 80,000. However, PSLs are great money makers, so I wouldn't hold my breath on relief.
thanks for the info .. another question .. if i do get wack seats is there a way to make better? or if i get it thats it im stuck there forever? .. and i get pairs? or u have to choose between single or pairs?
i meant not so good seats like the ones mentioned ... i was hoping for like sideline seats or something not in the corner
Well, if you read the entire thread you would have seen that there is a 10 year + waiting list for tickets...and when you get those tickets you will be in the upper level seats in the corner of the end zone. How do you propose getting sideline seats?
well i read em n i know about the other things .. im askin if i get em n i get the corner seats .. i was wondering if thats it, that will be my seats forever or will i be able to change it later into something better like sideline seats ... n do i get the tickets in pairs or do u get to choose and get ur tickets in singles or pairs
I think before you worry about buying season tickets you should go somewhere and buy some CAPITAL LETTERS. And maybe a spellchecker.
Each year when you renew your seats you can request an upgrade. If better seats become available they will be given to the season ticket holders who requested upgrades before they are released to the waiting list folks.
I've owned season tix since the 1995 season. At the time I got them, there was a 5-7 year waiting list. When Parcells arrived, the waiting list shot up to 15 years. Since the inception of the waiting list fee, the list has dropped to about 12 years...
Sorry if someone already answered this but what happens to the $50 over like maybe 7 years. Lets say im on the list for 7 years am I just out $350 or do they put it towards my season tickets? Or?
The $50 fee is no longer required for the waiting list for season tickets. I paid the first 3 years I was on the list. This summer a lawsuit ensued and the Jets lost. Basically it became illegal to charge to wait on the list. However the website was never updated and they claim it still costs $50 per year to stay on the list. I haven't been sent my bill this year so I assume that they will not be charging me anymore but I will cetainly pay to stay on it if need be. Maybe they are appealing it but i couldn not find anything on the web about it. It works out that whatever money you send (up to a max of $500 - you don't pay for more than 10 years) will be applied toward your first year of season tickets. If I find out more about the lawsuit, I'll post it up. But like I said - I haven't been charged this year yet. Check out the Jets website for more details: http://www.newyorkjets.com/tickets/ BTW, I started at like #12000 and now I'm like 3500 or something so it moved pretty quick over 3 years. I think I dropped to the 7000's the first year.
Good info..I hadnt heard that info. Did you get a refund? If not, then I guess they are appealing. I'm certain if they finally lose you will get the $ back..probably with interest.
For kicks, I just called the Jet ticket office and got a recording that said to get on the waiting list you STILL NEED TO SEND THE $50.00 fee So FOZZI..you might want to call and check the status of your account on the waitlist.
I was added to the season ticket waiting list this past September at about the same time that the 2005 season began. There is still a $50 annual fee to be on the list, but the fee goes directly into the purchase of your first set of tickets. Also, I believe they charge the annual fee until you reach a maximum limit of $500. At the time I was entered into the list, there were about 11,000 people ahead of me. At this point, I am around 10,000 on the list. I am hoping that the wait will be less than the estimated 10 years. Once we have our new stadium in 4 years, I am hoping that a decent amount of season tickets are added since the stadium will have a higher capacity, and I am also expecting some disgruntled new yorkers to drop their season tickets in protest.
Holy Cr*p, this thread just reminded me that I still have to pay for my tickets. I always make those b*stards wait until the very last minute. My own private game of chicken. Hehehe.
