We actually swept Buffalo last year. You can never underestimate the advantage that Dick Jauron gives us.
i think Ryan will have something along the lines of the Pats mentality for the Raiders game. He probably knows the Jets don't do well over there, so he'll remind them of that and hopefully they'll try to embarrass them. It shouldn't be difficult - The Fat Left Tackle can't feel the rush to save his life. Imagine the blitzes he'll be seeing on Oct. 25th.
Too many years, I've looked at schedules and played guessing games with how many we should win or lose. For the first time in my life, I'm taking a sane approach. All I'm concerned with is New Orleans. I'll worry about the next opponent after Sunday. No projections. Just savor every win as they come. Take 'em one game at a time.
I thought the AFC South would be tough, but we beat TEN and HOU already and JAX sucks. I thought the NFC South would be tough but CAR and TB are much worse than I anticipated and we get the beatable Falcons at home. Toughest part of the schedule appears to be over after the Saints. Might be a tough Dec/Jan.
Yea cause we play prevent defense and let them move down the field just like last year. Not happening this year! Think we get the monkey off our back and handle them at home.
I like how we are set up coming out of the bye. A week off, then a game against Jax to get back up to game speed and be ready for the Pats.
Any other year I'd say that schedule was a trap, just seems too easy, but with Ryan its an opportunity. It is funny how SoS changes so much from preseason to regular season. We were said to have something like the 6th or 7th hardest schedule. Now? I don't think so... (I do realize its week 3, but hey Dolphins, Raiders, Bills, and Panthers, no way most of them turn it around)
Assuming we don't drop a dude, we can definitely be 7-1 at the bye week. However, I think 6-2 is probably more realistic.
