The stadium being empty doesn't matter. If the ticket is sold and the person isn't there, that person is counted. That's how they do it everywhere. Anyone who went to Knicks games during the monstrous "sell out" streak knows there weren't 19,763 people there every night. I'm not saying the Jets are selling out but from someone who has season tickets and had no one sitting in his seats for 2 of the 8 home games, I can tell you that a lot of people just don't bother going.

And a lot of those seats are not sold. I had many seats that never had anyone in them and know that they gave up the tickets.

I didn't say the jets don't "owe" me anything. Just saying the stadium is a disaster, the psl value has become worthless overnight, the team has been bad maybe the ownership could do something to please the season ticket holders.

If they didn't have a product thet the public lives the jets would be bankrupt

I just think it's a bit of a whiny mentality to be honest. To complain about the crappy team or things about the stadium would be one thing. But a rewards program? Some banks have rewards programs and these are the people directly responsible for making money off you. Have you ever looked at them? You literally need to be a member for 20 years in some of them to get a free car charger.

Like I said, the Jets aren't struggling with money or attendance and your every day fan doesn't care about a rewards program. The Jets were 3rd in attendance last year behind only the Giants and the Cowboys. What was that you said about people not lining up to go to games? This is in a 4-12 season mind you.

    Like I said
You're more than welcome to look it up. As stated it's more about tickets sold than people at the games. Most 1-9 teams stop drawing big crowds the rest of the way but that doesn't mean they can give the tickets back.

I never paid attention to the rewards program, I thought it was a gimmick from the start and your post just confirms that to me. As far as PSL's go after seeing what happened with the Raiders where they went worthless I assumed the cost to be a throw away at that time so I picked a price point I was comfortable with dumping $$ and getting a decent price for tickets. There were other sections where the PSL price was marginally higher but ticket prices more than double so my thinking at that time was I'll make up PSL in part by paying a lower ticket price than other sections. In the end it doesn't matter much, either you cough up the money or move upstairs or out. Its kinda like picking an amount of $$ to go to Vegas or AC with that you expect to lose. At that time, just before the market collapse, I had a different view than I do now. If the new stadium had come online a few years after the financial crisis I'd be in the upper deck or not a season ticket holder, I'd just buy online the games I want to go to. The people I feel most sorry for are those that paid BIG $$$ for PSL's near the 50yd line. That was just an insane amount of $$ for a PSL and as bad for ticket prices...who wants to pay $700 a seat per game for the garbage they roll out? The people that pay those prices are the same ones that pay insane prices for Knicks tickets to see a team that hasn't been competitive since Patrick Ewing left town and are the ones that make management think they can charge whatever they want. For the Knicks management is right, for the Jets, they blew it big time.

Can you carry the points over or do you have to use it all before the 2015 season?

Hard to believe ANYONE thought this latest gimmick was created to help anyone other than the Jets and their ticket sales. What is being reported here goes beyond what I would have expected from them - however, I knew right away that this rewards idea was just a ploy to sugar-coat the newly introduced e-ticket concept, which really is an attempt to slow down the secondary ticket market. This past season didn't have the usual large numbers of guys holding fists-full of tickets in the parking lot, so mission accomplished in that regard.

Ever since the parking pass colored lot fiasco (Orange only for upper deck ticket holders - adding pressure to sell PSL's to Upper deckers) of the initial new MetLife stadium season, they've been trying lots of slick moves. Shame on them, shame on us.

    Go Jets.

I don't get this. Are they giving this stuff out to the PSL holders when they show up or are they
selling these items to the first fans that arrive? And how do the points apply?

I think that hits the nail on the head. I try to go to at least a couple of games every year and have been for the last couple of decades. Its a disgrace that they introduced PSL's and raised prices for an inferior stadium. The upper deck of the new stadium starts where the top of the upper deck was in the old stadium, which means you are farther away, colder, and getting blasted with more wind while shelling out a lot more for the ticket. They also used the new stadium as an excuse to gank a lot of tailgators and raise the price on parking.

We all understand that the NFL is a business and its a money making operation, but that doesn't mean they should just blatantly rob you and show utter disregard to you as a fan and a customer. This reward program change is just insult to injury to the most loyal fans who have shelled out multiple thousands of dollars.

Yes, yes, dirty capitalist pigs etc.

What is your PSL worth if the HC and GM works out, Winston or Mariota are drafted and pan out and the Jets win the SB in 3 years? Answer, a lot more than 8k but it doesn't matter because you'd never sell then anyway.

If you didn't want to get screwed on a PSL you shouldn't have bought one. Sure, they built a shitty stadium with third world accoutrements for the third tier. Don't want to deal with that either? Buy tickets on stubhub 2 or 3 games a year and sit next to different people each game.

It's a football team for the people of NYC in this day and age. Of course they're going to screw you over on cost and they hatched a diabolical plot to withhold services to coerce people into consenting to be price gouged on PSLs.

What the fuck does any of this have to do with headphones? Bose's are overrated shit anyway for the most part. Get your own damn headphones and do some research if you actually care about sound quality and aren't just being a whiny gash that wants their free overpriced headphones with a label on it to brag about at the next sewing circle.

Care about the moves that are made on the roster and coaching/management and evaluate whether you want to hold your season tickets based on the product on the field. You already consented to be screwed on the PSL a long time ago it's over. You either want to keep watching the team live or you don't. The starving kids in Africa don't have shit to do with it.

Not getting a PSL was the best move I've ever made. An unbelievably bad investment.

Whats funny is that you're right, but the Jets will still find a way to lose.

Implying that PSLs were ever worth it in the first place.

I spoke with the Jets on Friday. They have plenty of season tickets throughout the stadium. They are not discounting the psl so I'm sure they are selling almost none since you can go on the second market and buy them for 20 cents on the dollar.
