Yeah, it would make sense from a trade standpoint, but the thought of Elam and Leonhard as our safeties scares the shit out of me. We'd be forced to go safety in the 1st, and sacrifice our other needs there in the process. If that's the option, I sincerely hope we go with what we have.

Right on cue for you, jonnyd:)

I would assume that Rhodes would get over it as soon as Cutler became a Jet. He's a professional.

I don't hate Cutler, but I've been in a position like that before. I couldn't stand Bryan Cox before he became a Jet. Instantly loved the guy in green, though.

No, because I don't think the Broncos would make it a straight trade. Safety isn't quite the same concern for them with Dawkins there. I think they look to draft at the position. I'm a huge fan of bringing in Cutler for the right price. Straight up? I get that shit done. I love Rhodes, and our safeties would be terrible, but NT and ILB are the most important positions in the 3-4.

If a Rhodes trade did come to fruition....I guess we would have to start looking at Sean Smith in the first round of the draft....or hope for Taylor Mays next year.

Either way...we would be trading one hole in our offense for one on defense. The question is...what would be the lesser of two evils? I would say solving the QB problem.

From the sound of it, Rhodes isn't the only one who feels that way. Personally I'd take Rhodes and Clemens/Ratliff over Cutler any day of the week.

In my dreams Clemens/Ratliff are clearly pro bowl QB's so I'm with you on this.

if the guy is one the opposing team you hate him, if he's on your team you love him. Rhoades should shut his mouth and think of how it would improve the team. Let him concentrate on improving on his own miserable performance last season.
Last time i looked Cutlers name was on the Pro Bowl roster. Guess i must have missed Rhoades name in the line up.
I'm sick of the word "potential"listed next to KR's name. Time to shut up and play.

Eh, Damien Woody can be replaced.

By the way, I wasn't at all serious about trading Rhodes for Cutler people. I'm 100% convinced that he will remain and Bronco and we will roll with what we've got and I'm fine with that.

Rhodes should still get over it.

That's not surprising. I can't even find Rhoades on our roster

Rhodes should easily have 2 pro bowls on his resume. He has been robbed countless times.

Rhodes doesn't need potential he has it. He was misused by Mangini last yr with the stupid prevent D. This yr he will be a beast mark my words

This is funny that tells me than that you really do not want to win or you think the two QB'S that we have are ten times better than they are.

Screw that. I'm glad the players are stressing their concern on trading for a loud mouthed punk bitch. Obviously there is a reason why he was on the trading block to begin with, this could very well be the reason.

    Besides..

The players seem to be standing up for KC/BR because they see something in them, and they are loyal to them. That is a good sign. If they didn't have potential to be starting QB's, I don't think they would be backing them up.

    Just saying...

I disagree you are supposed to back up your team even if you know inside that they are not the guy to get it done. What are they going to say yea trade for Cutler the guy in the locker next to me cant get it done.

No.. if they didn't have faith in a player, they wouldn't say anything at all or they'd call him out; they wouldn't blow smoke up his ass. Rhodes called out our secondary last year.. I don't think he's afraid to speak his mind. Besides, if the locker room really wanted Cutler, they wouldn't be saying that shit about him because they'd know they're burning a bridge.

Or.. I don't want to give up one of the league's premier safeties and two QBs with a lot of potential for a player I think is an overrated douchebag.

If this is your idea of one of the league's premier safties you are mistaken he has had 1 good year.

I think every team has 2 QB'S with potential but every team does not have a top 10 QB in the game which Cutler is.

Especially when you're playing in the one position that if you touch him you get flagged 15 yards...
