And where does this all stem from? Jets FO. Which relates back to the idea that we need a regime change. Honestly, I love Rex. I've loved him since day one. But there has to be fixes. Why on earth they brought in Sparano lord only knows. Then you have Mike T. Everyone thinks he's a genius. What has he done that is so amazing?? He effectively wasn't the one to "draft" Revis. Yeah, he's good at manipulating numbers. But so is my tax guy. Should the Jets hire him because he's good at that? NO! I'm not saying this season is sunk, but this whole year is gonna be a mess. Be prepared. More importantly, it's going to take 4-5 years to do significant "damage control".

    NEEDS:
-Get a new GM (unfortunately, I think this might mean Rex would leave as well)
    -Get a new OC
-Replace the veterans on the OL (aside from Mangold, who always performs to the best of his ability)
-Get rid of Holmes and Greene and start drafting WR's and RB's in the Draft
    -Start stockpiling draft picks
-Get rid of the D Linemen (like Scott and Pace) who are passed their prime and can't make a tackle to save them.

I could keep going but it's giving me anxiety knowing how many changes are needed to fix this team.

Sanchez never took control of the offense...A true ELITE and GREAT QB take over his offense no matter the personnel

I don't wanna hear the excuses anymore... it's the NFL and all players have some sort of ability. Sure their has been a shit ton of drops this year but there is no excuse for an NFL "franchise" QB to play as poorly as Sanchez has this year. The O-Line is giving him time and it's a franchise QB's job to bring the better out of his supporting cast. When you can't throw the fucking ball how do you expect to get a ground game going?

Put a QB like Brady, or either of the Mannings, it won't matter who's name is on the back of the WR's jerseys. I say go ahead and bench Mark and put Tebow or McElroy in to light his fire... if he bitches and whines then get rid of his ass, but if it brings out his competitive, non pampered, "this is my fucking job" attitude then we will really see if Sanchez has what it takes. Grow a pair and put some weight on Rex.

So if Sanchez is going to magically turn into Eli Manning because he is in a similar situation....does that mean Tebow is going to magically turn into Steve Young because he is in a similar situation?

one big difference between sanchez and flacco as far as the team goes.the ravens continued to build the offense after selecting flacco.the jets have used stop gaps and late round draft picks to throw something together .so now flacco has talent around him that he has continuity with.and mark has had a revolving door of aging veterans and mediocre draft picks.

He would still over throw receivers and get rattled when ever a little pressure is around and throw the ball to the ground like a girl.

I never really wanted Tebow. However, we got him. If the Jets could figure out how to use him, he could be more effective. Couldn't he be lined up as a TE? Yeah, I know, he couldn't catch the damn ball last time they threw to him. But let's be real. What other use does he have??

Even the 49er's have a better option/wildcat offense then we do! If it was up to me, we would have never acquired him.

they didnt ruin him. he is who he is. a guy, who with a good team around him will make enough plays to give you a chance to beat anyone.... and a guy, who without guys around him, wont give you much of a chance to beat anyone

he is as good as the team around him. we put a good team around him the past 2-3 years. this year, not so much. its not marks fault we suck, he doesnt have much to work with. its also not the jets fault that sanchez is a pro bowl calibur guy

The problem the Jets don't understand is that when you have an average at best QB like Sanchez. You need to keep guys around him that he has a good chemistry with. Tanny let his ego and stubbornness get in the way of what's best for Sanchez.

The Jets had hopes of Sanchez taking that next step and now it's looking like we're headed to a possible rebuilding.

Of course Mark gets some blame there are some things he can control and some things he simply cannot. Not addressing needs on offense is one of them. There are multiple reasons why this hasn't panned out. I can't blame one player for this issue. I find that petty to be honest

At what point do Sanchez and Rex have to take any accountability for their failures?

I'm taking this as a compliment and hoping its not sarcastic ha.

But everyone acts so surprised when team was better, first two seasons, Sanchez played better. When the team got worse, Sanchez got worse. What a shocker! (Sarcasm) that's how it works for most QBs in the league. Even the top tier ones struggle in the playoffs with out a top team effort.

Except he didn't really play better, he was statistically about the same, a lower rung QB in completion % and rating. The TEAM played better because of the D and running game but not really Sanchez.

There's very little separating Alex Smith and Mark Sanchez when it comes to actual QBing ability. The difference is the coaching that either one receives. Prior to Harbaugh, Alex was complete garbage much in the same way Sanchez is currently. Now Alex is a great game manager who makes great decisions and can once in a while take a chance downfield.

If Sanchez had a coach like Harbaugh or Shannahan, then he could be successful. He is definitely not in the top tier of QBs or even top 10, but a top 15 QB can win if he has a great run game and defense to back him up.

at this point how many times can the same thread be started under a different name.

We get it....Sanchez has been ruined by the Jets, Sanchez sucks, we're fucked.

I'm not sure why we need a new thread about this every 5 minutes.
