Really might as well continue and dump Forte.

Unfortunately tight fitting high water pants are "in style" at the moment. :(

As Joe at Turnonthejets.com says, Friends don't let friends advocate for Fitztragic.

Gailey, Fitztragic, Marshall, Mangold and now Decker all gone from this pic. All these guys showed terrible judgement and poor leadership qualities by trusting in Fitz (including Fitz himself).

High waters! Hahahaha. A man after my own heart. Holy Fckn Sh!t, you have no idea how much Pepsi just shot out of my right nostril due to nostalgia. Floods and high waters, those were staple insults and observations when I was 9 - and I'm 115. I'm also rounding down my age. "Run for higher ground!" "Why?" "Floods!" Kids are evil, but it wasn't bullying in any shape or form, it really wasn't. You'd go back to school the following year, everyone was suffering with bone pain because they had a growth spurt, and half the boys I had crush on were sporting capris unintentionally.

Not that I wanted harris gone... but I really didn't understand why he was still here. So that move doesn't bother me..

The decker move doesn't bother me but it surprised me. If any vet was to stay I wanted it to be Deck. Deck is a QB's best friend and the young QB's could use him, plus our deep youthy WR group could have learned more from the fantastic route runner and reliable WR that is Decker.

I understand it's a youth movement and im all for it.

Out with the old, in with the new. New Era starts NOW

Mac has done a terrible job in evaluating the future of this team. If the plan all along was to be in a total rebuild we should have moved Decker before the draft. We could have accumulated a 5-7 round pick for him and applied it to the rebuild. Now we get nothing.

For the crowd that says we will get a comp pick for him. It only works if you are not signing free agents of the same caliber. With 60+ mil in cap space and no home grown talent to use it on how are the jets going to see anything from this other than cap space saving.

As has been mentioned numerous times, cutting Forte saves nothing on the cap. They still need bodies on the field so no sense to cut a veteran gives no cap relief.

Bowles will get fired either during the season or in the off season. Mac will get fired the following year. No faith in this FO.

Decker wouldn't have passed a physical before the draft, trading him was not an option

I'm actually extremely pleased to see the Jets thoroughly blow up the team.

Let's just hope they can pick the right players for success.

This one stings because he's a fan favorite but it's the right move. Get younger, and see what these young guys are made of. Going to have over 80 million in cap space next year and potentially the top pick in the draft.

Just hope we can finally land a franchise QB.

The cap space is going to be very useful the next 2 seasons.
There were no takers for Decker predraft, possibly none post draft.wrong side of 30 coming off 2 major surgeries.
No one is saying comp pick because comp picks are for free agents who walk. Not players under contract who are released.
There will be plenty of home grown FAs to pay, Williams, Enunwa come to mind and second contract FAs that can be signed.
Don't mind the complaining but at least know what your complaining about

It's cheaper to keep Forte on the roster then to cut him. Makes no sense to keep him. We don't have a stockpile of running backs behind him
