I'm actually pretty optimistic about the buzz so far. Nobody's predicting Super Bowl, darkhorse candidate or otherwise, so I think our odds on collapsing to the cellar are fairly small.
Total BS, a yr away from being playoff ready? Hello! They made the playoffs last yr, and did he seriously ranked the cardinals ahead of us?
Denver is dominant...if the pass rushers that they got in this year's draft work out for them, they are going to be a nasty team in the AFC.
Kinda surprised about the Cowboys, Cards, and Giants. Some others are debatable too, but power rankings change from week to week anyway. We could be top 8 before the season even starts.
I do think Denver is very good, but they have some questions. A second year QB who has not played a full season yet and the University of Florida's defensive line. Like the addition of Travis Henry and Bly. Don't think they should be the 4th ranked team.
How are the Colts the team to beat? Their already poor defense (while they stepped up in the playoffs, they need to do so all of the time) got completely gutted. Their offense is still their offense but noone ever had them as the team to beat with just that.
Because they won the SB last year and are the reigning champs. And they will remain that way until the season starts and someone knocks them off. It doesn't matter what happened during the offseason because it is all hypothetical at this point until the teams play. But they are they champs period, number one, no ifs, ands, or buts.
gutted? they lost 2 decent cornerbacks and cato june...their offense got even better when they drafted anthony gonzalez, so as long as their defense doesn't give up 30 points a game, they should be alright, cause everyone knows that their offense is gonna score points.
give the colts their due. after all, what have the jets done in the past 5 years while peyton has been carrying the colts into the playoffs every year? if belichick isn't coaching the patriots, manning most likely has multiple super bowl championships
what evs. The jets just have to prove em wrong. I'd be interested in seeing how many times the top two to four teams in pre-preseason power rankings make it to the super bowl
