With the 2015 Schedule theres an outside shot of 5 games or more

2017: Yes the quality is added but subtract the level of competition and you get a few competitive losses

Throw in some sh^tty coaching from Bowles and what have ya got??

The fact that our tight ends could not block anybody last year also makes me appreciate a good blocking fullback, scouts say the tight end the jets picked up in the draft is not a blocker so fullback better be a recognized need.
A good fullback can also be important on special teams.

Yeah as Decker has been really injured a lot. And he will indeed be gone.

Well, you can drop John Ojo -CB and safety Marcus Gilchrist from the mix. Both were cut.

Why would the Jets get rid of their best WR, and their two most experienced WRs? They just signed Patton during the offseason. I doubt he's going anywhere. I think the only way Decker leaves is if he suffers lasting effects from his injuries or another team blows the Jets away with a trade offer. He will be one of their best weapons, the young QBs' best friend and a mentor for the young WRs.

They can save money by cutting them and also develop the young guys by giving extra targets

The entire team isn't "full of holes everywhere" like most of the press would have you believe.

They'd only save $640 by cutting Patton. I don't think they signed him to just turn around and cut him to save a few $s. That makes zero sense. The only way I see that he's not on the team is if he flops in TC or gets seriously injured.

With the odds being that they'll start either Petty or Hack sooner rather than later, cutting Decker makes zero sense, especially just to give a few more reps to other receivers who may do nothing with those reps. He will be Petty's or Hack's most reliable target. Also, why would they cut one of, if not their best player, just to gain some cap space for next season? I could see trading him if a playoff team loses a top WR in TC and blows the Jets away with a trade offer for future draft picks, but otherwise, again getting rid of Decker makes zero sense imo.
