We need more than just 2 wins at home.

He's a crazy man, a crazy genius. He'll go for it on 4th and 2 (and lose) and then defer getting the ball in overtime because of the wind and come out like he knew all along.

Anything is possible im telling ya. Ive seen so many teams left for dead end up making noise. 2009 Jets were at 4-6. Last year the Redskins were at 3-6 and declared dead and took off on a 7 game win streak.

We can get to 10 wins, we can stay at 5, anything is possible.

    Ten is not happening IMO

OTOH 8 a lock - Miami, Oakland and Cleveland at home and 9 is a decent possibility in week 17. Carolina would take a near miracle based on recent plsy.

Nevertheless 8 or 9 will be a terrific surprise season for our total rebuild team and our surprisingly good rookie QB. A big blow to the groin of all the media experts, naysayers and others too

And 2014 with a bundle of cap dollars and 11-12 draft selections should be even better

Mitch, Cleveland is not a lock. I think the Jets lose that game.

I think this is an 8-8 or 7-9 team.

    Myself included.

If this team is going to make the playoffs, it needs to find a spark soon.

    Jets, Jets

Not a big deal to make the playoffs. They would go out quickly. But if they do, consider that Geno has played well enough to have a future with the team. Idzik needs to find out a few more things about the personnel especially the QB. Any thought of not playing him is just newspaper nonsense. It is really not Rex's call.

I'm expecting a split with the Fins and wins against Oakland and Cleveland. I could see the Jets losing to Cleveland and winding up 7-9. Basically with 7+ wins the Jets are over-achieving at this point. 8 would be like hitting the jackpot.

Way to hedge your bets. Don't go out on a limb or anything.

Ravens beat Pittsburgh dropping the Steelers to 5-7. Jets now ahead of Pittsburgh in the wild card chase

Funny way of wording it, as the Jets also fall behind the (6-6) Ravens and lose head to head tie-breaker with them.

The Jets were behind the Ravens when the day started

They were behind the Ravens before the game. This result is good for the Jets. Pittsburgh has the easier schedule. If they won tonight, they might have not looked back. Ravens play in Detroit, they play New England, they end in Cincinnati, those are 3 tough games out of the last 4 (Minnesota other one).

Oh okay, I see now. I guess that was the better of the two options.

We needed the Ravens to win just because they still have to play three division leaders. The Raiders losing helped a lot to.

Jets can make a major move if they can win Sunday, we got what we needed for this Thursday so.

now just root for the bengals, colts and falcons to earn victories along with the jets, and hope baltimore crashes and burns too, winning only once more.

I'm working underneath a scenario where the jets go 8-8, I'd maybe like to believe they can beat the dolphins twice along with oakland and cleveland but I'm not too confident in things working out that well. (awesome as that would be)

its about the jets finding a way to score now, no doubt the defense can handle what remains.

I think 8-8 might win the Wild Card but the Jets wont get in at 8-8 because of Tiebreakers. Winning out at home is a complete must now, and we gotta split the road games.
