Can we NOW close this abomination of a thread, please? They had most of you hoping and thinking, it's possible. But as usual, we controlled our destiny and our QB laid a few stinkers..
We are with everyone else on the outside looking in for the 6th spot in the AFC. It aint over 'til its over. We can afford to lose 1 more game at most, anything more and forget about playoffs. Like I've come to expect, the offense undermines the entire team. We have no talent on the outside, and an inconsistent OL. Plus a rookie QB. Not good.
We are playing next 2 games at home. If we win both games, we will be 7-6 with 3 games to go. I think we are still in it. No reason to belittle our position at the moment. Yes we are at 5-6 but so is Ravens, Steelers, Dolphins and everyone else. This is a new team. New QB, many new defensive players, many new offensive players. No reason to throw the towel on the season yet. We still can be in the hunt in December. And this is more than what I could have asked for before the season started. Have some faith. Good things might still happen.
this is the Jets - of course we will win the next couple of games so as to take us out of the running for any decent QB prospects in next year's draft - this team never knows when to be terrible
