The Jets, on the right day, could absolutely beat NE...home, road, or anywhere. They also could lose the game 41-12. But they could just as well win it 24-20
Did none of you guys see the game Sunday? This is a team that could finish out 0-6. I had originally thought this was a 6-10 season; a few weeks ago thought 9-7 may be possible and now I'm glad I didn't make any changes to my earlier prediction.
did you see the game two weeks ago? we go from handling one of the best QB's in football to losing to a rookie that couldn't pass the salt the week before. such is life for the 2013 jets. The 2013 NEW YORK JETS! What it MEANS to have a GREEN QB and be more inconsistently good and bad than ever previously SEEN!
Heres who we're rooting for this week besides the pattern thats kept us in it so far to continue (and hopefully GTFO vs Miami) Pittsburgh @ CLEVELAND Tennessee @ OAKLAND San Diego @ KANSAS CITY CAROLINA @ Miami the browns and raiders, being opponents of teams the have already beaten the jets and are future opponents of the jets are obviously the lesser of two evils despite a similar record. should the jets lose and all of this happens the friggin RAIDERS would lead the wild card race, not terrible for our hopes since we play them, but indicative of how ridiculously wrought with parity the AFC is. On top of that if the jets and dolphins lose 7 out of 12 teams in the AFC would be below 500. As is, HALF the conference will be below 500 no matter WHAT. we might be inconsistent but its not like the rest of the AFC doesn't suck big ones either. winning 3 might just do it if its again the right teams.
We're not as bad as them (and have gotten lucky but nobody likes to hear that). CAR game is very important. And wow that is weird that two future opponents play two past opponents that beat us.
We're not winning the superbowl. F this shit. I'm rooting for us to get a good qb in the draft next year because we sure as hell don't have one on the roster right now.
Geno Smith or a FA veteran QB likely. not a rookie QB though, whats the point to having ANOTHER QB thats gonna make mistakes have to adjust to the pro game replace the sophomore that has tape and experience to learn from? a rookie that we'll be able to attain at our draft position isn't likely to be a Newton to Smith's Clausen, we'd be moving horizontally rather than improving. Wide Receiver, Guard, OLB, anything but REDUNDANCY.
Cool, so after we get a good QB in the draft next year, we're winning the Super Bowl? Awesome! CAN'T WAIT!
with this defence we'd at least have a shot if the qb play was decent to good. right now we have another turnover machine that can't complete a pass unless it's wide open. go take your sarcasm and shove it.
Somebody's got a bad Jets performance (a bad Jets TEAM performance) hangover. Don't drink so much Kool Aid and it won't hurt so bad next time. Remember, this is a rebuilding year and the fact that were even able to utter the "p" word is a blessing. Enjoy.
Doesn't change the fact that he's got a point. Just like the 2009 and 2010 seasons, QB play is holding us back (and to some extent, the WR play this season).
I'll react that way if outside games don't go our way and the jets lose to miami next week. in which case fine, we overachieved anyhow and HEY! great spot for picking up any one of the best 3 receivers in the draft.
