For those who want the Jets to wear 1960-62 Titans uniforms, this would be the game to wear it. The N.Y. Titans played on Thanksgiving three times and won all three times. They won at Dallas (now the K.C. Chiefs) 41-35 in 1960. They beat the Bills at home 21-14 in 1961. They won at Denver 46-45 in 1962.
I will be buying that throw back jersey no matter what. Whether it be a Titan (which I highly doubt, sorry Dino) or the 1984 version http://www.mitchellandness.com/detail.aspx?ID=1964
I'm sure Mangini hates everything about this game. Short week, opponent and national coverage. At least Parcells isn't still there too.
oh hell, there's no way the wife will let me watch that. Anyone got any good counterarguments other than: well, one of MY family's traditions is to WATCH the football games on Thanksgiving.
the nfc gets to host all 3 thanksgiving games, while the afc teams have to travel? how is that a fair schedule? let the cowgirls play at new york, instead!
OMG this is awesome news. I ALWAYS wanted to see the Jets play on Turkey Day. And my brother is a big Cowboys fan. I'm sure this will give us another thing to fight about.
how many times in a row did we have to play at oakland? you know teams like dallas and detroit get favorable treatment on the holiday schedule.
I hate Thanksgiving because I have to work and I'm tired by dinner... Now I have something to look foward to... hopefully pissing off a house full of flag waving Giants fans
I don't think so. The Cowboys wear those Dark Blue ones with the white sleeves on Turkey day. I don't think the Jets would wear the white Titans unis.
I love this. I'll be in South Carolina and now there is at least 1 game I can see from home. I'll probably get a dish or something, but this is pretty cool! I hope they wear the 80s unis.
Yuck. Short week, traditional game for the other team, house full of people right at gametime. No thanks.
Sweeeeet. Of course, the Cowboys tend to do pretty well on Thanksgiving... Hopefully Ware doesn't have his annual monster game that day...
I do see your point, and it does make sense. I just checked back, and in the last 10 years, the home team on thanksgiving is 10-11. A lot of that has to do with the fact that the Lions have sucked for pretty much every one of those years, but the Cowboys are still 4-6. Interesting nevertheless.
Its on CBS the game will be at 4 15 because Dallas always has the late game, I hope the jets wear the uniforms from the late 80s.
Yes. Oh yes. Now the Titans throwbacks would just make this brilliant. And I'm sure the Tuna will pass a few notes to our sideline but most of them will just read "Good luck" and "Send Toui to get me a hotdog".
