I think the Pats should send a message to Mangini and shatter Clemens. If you can break him now, it may have benefits down the road when Clemens has to face the Patriots again.

I'm sure that's what they'll aim to do.... Who knows if Clemens will pan out as our QB of the Future or not? But since there is a slight chance that he will, Belichick and NE should do anything they can to shatter his confidence now

I think hitting Clemens hard will only make him want to destroy the Pats every time he plays them in the future (if he's still our starter). Besides, he's a QB in the NFL, so he's expecting to get hit. I don't think you can necessarily "break" anyone in football.

Wow, I was trying to be ridiculous and ignorant, and it passes for real football talk.

I can't believe so called "football fans" who support this kind of garbage. The players are just guys doing their job and playing the game. Anyone who wants them to get hurt and injured is a moron and needs to get a life.

That's like saying "I hope your son gets mugged and shot because I don't like Burger King and he works at Burger King." Grow up.

What? That's what you do toa young QB, especially a division rival....

In Clemens' first start, the Redskins pulled out all the stops, hitting him late, hitting him in the head, taking penalties, etc....

The NFL is every team for itself..... If you can stop someone from potentially becoming the next Tom Brady (whether or not he has the potential to become such a QB) you do it...

I'm not saying you try to injure him, but you should most definitely try to rattle him physically, and shatter his confidence....
