With what they have to pay Rodgers, will have to pay Q, and with 30-something FAs next season, I don't think it is manageable, but even if it is, I don't want/like Hopkins. There's his PEDs suspension, his injuries the last two seasons, his age, and the likelihood that he quit on the Cardinals last season, sitting out the last 2 games when he was healthy and could have played.
All valid concerns. All except the cap concerns. The cap is manageable. The other concerns, are all valid.
I have a concern we may be trading away too much of our youth/future for the here-and-now. Trading/Cutting Corey Davis, Mims, Ashtyn, for Rodgers, Cupp, Hopkins, et al may be better now, but before we know it, this is gonna be the Zack Wilson show again. And by then we may be in cap hell with a bunch of nursing home players who played well a few years ago, but now they are done. I know everything is about balance.
I think I may the only one that always knows when you're trolling. This is definitely one of those times.
Both you guys making good points. Think I’d rather take some cap to rework Rodgers, extend Q, keep Corey Davis, and sign some defensive depth like Kwon, a FS, and maybe upgrade the IDL depth, instead of chasing Hopkins for huge $ With Rodgers at QB, and a lot receiving options for defenses to focus on, CD could have a big year. Blocks well and also a good RZ target. Just needs to stay healthy.
Charles is an intriguing player. Looked raw but explosive with good size last preseason. If he develops more, mims is toast. Trade Mims for whatever late round pick you can salvage or outright cut him. It’s his last year here either way, and has done nothing to date.
