Actually he landed in the endzone. So if he held onto the ball, he would have scored the TD one play earlier than he eventually did. And I say that as an ND fan.
Most QB just don't step in and take over that easy. I thought we was going threw a re-building years so if that's the case we have a few years.
Sure, but most feel leinart will be able to step in from 8 weeks to a season, young will most likely take longer. Higher potential? maybe, but it's also a bigger risk that he'll flop
Once again this referral to the patriots, and vince had pressure are you okay ? Ill find the video and post it. Since he "NEVER" had any pressure.
O sorry I dont know what came over me. Maybe it was constant talking about trading up. Or the Leinart avatar with some weird slogan. Silly me, cocaine is a helluva drug.
I'm not allowed to have a Matt Leinart avatar? Who are you? Hitler? By the way the "weird slogan" was "Matt Leinart". As for me constantly bringing it up...I only bring it up in threads that ask for our opinions on the draft. Its not like I talk about Matt Leinart in a Curtis Martin Thread... I had no idea cocaine was a helluva a drug, but apparently you do.
That is the question. I think it's pretty possible he could. Maybe in not as dramatic a fashion as SB3, but in other ways.
37-2 Leinart is a big boy i see him joining the class of Payton Manning and Tom Brady. I want Leinart here lets GIT R DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Leinart is the safest pick in the draft... Carson Palmer developed in the exact same system, whats to say Leinart won't have the same success that Carson is having
So you'd rather we not take the better player? Im just trying to understand where you're coming from and im having a hard time. Regardless of what young has done, he is still not as good a qb as matt leinart, end of story.
You are definitely entitled to your opinions. However.................I would be curious to know what your feeling was of McNair (Alcorn State) and McNabb (Syracuse) and Mr. Brady before they were drafted. Given time to develop, they had the X factor that is needed to become a superstar. Leinart did not lead his team to the title in a game they were HEAVILY favored to win. Leinart has always had much better weapons than Young. One more year in college would probably have developed Vince to the point of "no conversation". However, who in their right mind would NOT come out of college after pulling off one of the greatest performances in college history? And by Young's stats, it would appear that he was getting better, and better, and better every year. The fact that Vince had a better day than Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, and Mr. White combined as a JUNIOR should warrant him as the better choice. And this is not to pick on you, but it seems you have an issue with the coaching and systems in place. Face it, Leinart can read NFL defenses about as well as any of us can at this stage of his career. But this is to assume that we draft a qb, because i honestly don't see it happening. I see us as a potential dynasty in 2-3 years with us getting our qb NEXT year. We did not TRADE for Ramsey just to have depth. For all we know, we "might" get Bush............
Im a syracuse fan and loved mcnabb. But theres a difference there. Mcnabb had a much better throwing arm and had much better mechanics than young did. IMO Best VALUE at QB is omar jacobs in the 3rd round, i think he can be fantastic in a few years, but thats a third round pick, you just don't spend a first rounder on a project unless it's a late pick. If you're picking a qb in the top 5 you better be damn sure it's the safest bet you can get. That's what leinart is. And IMO ramsey is just here because chad probably won't be ready for opening day which would leave us with no one, except a possible rookie.
wasn't Ken Dorsey like 39-1 or something like that, at the U? college team records translate to nada in the NFL. cheers
Last I checked football was a team sport and Matt isn't even the best player on his team so you can take that record and threw it out the window.
