Yep. Spot on. Shitty reporting, crappy writing and 99% probability of horseshit sources. Maccagnan has every sealed air tight, including zero contract leaks about Wilkerson yet this hack has some insanely close inside source? Please.

they were talking tonight about the jets being one of 3 or 4 teams inquiring about the second pick. i am fairly confident its just hub bub and posturing in their negotiations with their fa qb, but man the amount of picks we would have to give up to do that would be completely fucking absurd and make an already thin roster with minimal young talent even, even worse.

Many think the Jets are just doing due diligence, but the Wilkerson situation affords them an opportunity they wouldn't normally have to move up. With that, I believe the Jets will make a serious run for Wentz/Goff at #2. I suspect other teams with more amo will also be in the fray so it's still a long shot.

Personally, I'd be happy w/Lynch (@20) who will need time but has franchise talent (unlike the current crop of Jets qb's).

It's true that you can't win consistently without a QB, however it's also true that no QB can raise the roster by himself. The Jets have a lot of aging stars at the moment, even with D'Brick already gone. Trading up to get a QB and then watching the roster vanish around him would be a bad move. Better to try to trade Mo for a mid-round 1st so the Jets can take somebody like Lynch and develop him alongside his OL, without a guarantee that the OL is dropping out in a year or two.
