I call BS. He played three games for KC and they won two, including against his former team Denver. He has only played one game in Dallas, backing up Romo, and looked far better in it than Smith ever has.

    Nice avatar, btw.

Obviously take this for what it is worth considering I'm just a dude on a message board... but I know someone pretty connected with the Jets that says they are under the impression CJ will be accepting a deal today...

    This is a serious question.

Do you honestly not understand how a successful franchise is made or are you just trolling the shit out of this forum? Are you really this ignorant?

Yeah get a great QB. Just look at the Pats and Colts when Manning was there.

they restructured his deal to save cap room. They "stuck w/ him" in the event they don't upgrade. There is a reason they keep looking at RBs and that is b/c they want to upgrade from Goodson.
if they really liked him they would have signed him to a bigge
stop w/ the Orton nonsense. he is a terrible NFL QB.

that one game in Dallas was the biggest game he has played in since Chicago and he threw the game away.

He flew from Villanova, why not just make the 90 minute drive? I guess CJ was paying for the ticket.

My point is.....Who to say he won't offer Mo a number and Mo wants a little more and Idzik won't budge? Andmamas and papas soul train neither will Mo? Then Mo hits FA and he will be gone and all you Idzik fans will be saying the same thing I am

We don't know what Idzik offered him. For all we know it was a good deal (say 2 years 9 million) but CJ2K just wants to lay out all of his options before he commits.

This blind Idzik hatred is ridiculous. I understand not being a fan of his but saying he fucked up without knowing any details? Come on.

I agree we really don't know 100% what was offered. We can only go off what these so called experts say. One thing we do know Idzik doesn't budge off a offer.

Normally i enjoy your posts and sometimes get a luagh out of your humor. This post though is so over dramatic and more and more lately your posts
are just becoming insult after insult.

Looking at the our cap position and our current roster. The front office has to understand this fan base and team needs a playoff appearance/run.
Chris Johnson to the HB position is not much differeent from what D Jax is to the WR position. He may not be the every single play STUD we all
long for but holy shit can he change a game instantly.

Id pay him the 10 mill for 2 years shit i might even go as far as 15 mill for 3 years if i could get away with guaranteeing less then half.

This move would not damage, hurt shit it would not even slow the building or status of this franchise in any way.

It's random gibberish like the bolded part above that makes me think Geno007 is just a troll account.

It is interesting watching the Jets reposition themselves as a franchise that is aloof from the veteran free agent market. It's the right place to be if you are serious about making a run at a Lombardi but it must be very frustrating for the agents who knew they had an offer from the Jets if all else failed.

If people were concerned about Idzik solely based on having incomplete, really no, knowledge about what was offered Johnson, you would have a point. But that is not the situation. Context, dude. The context is how he has "managed" the off season so far. And that is not something those concerned about Idzik are blind to. More it is the FO Homers here who refuse to acknowledge that there should be big questions at this point.

Ftr I am ambivalent about signing Johnson. I guess I would think it good if he signed at a fair price, but the team still has big problems elsewhere, starting at Qb, and including wideout, OL, Cb, TE and somewhat lesser problems at edge rusher and safety. Meanwhile the Jets are sitting on a ton of cap space. Johnson does not fix all those problems.

My other opinion about Johnson is he's probably still hoping to go to a team that will feature him as a back.

I was not surprised we didn't get revis or Rodgers-Cromartie, I will be very surprised if we don't get Chris Johnson.
