We've been horrible in the second half. It's more coaching than it is Fitzy. Who to blame more in Gailey or Bowles, though? We've stuck with the same offensive game plan throughout games no matter what. It's funny because I see us getting shredded by one step wide receiver screens when our corners play ten yards off. Yet I can't recall us running one of those plays since they forced it to Marshall on that fourth down in the first Buffalo game against PRESS COVERAGE.
Agree, this team is best served losing 3-0 this weekend. I know you dont want to axe coaches frequently, but the overall regression, lack of adjustments, and what's now coming out that the locker room is fractured... Gotta wonder if its unraveling all too quickly for Bowles and Co. I am not fully down on Bowles but the is still ALOT of season left. Pipe dream but my wish is Houston implodes and BOB is odd man out. O'Brien w/ his connection w/ Hack and Macc in Houston would be ideal but that honestly might have to wait til 2018.
"I'm getting 180, 170 targets a year," Marshall said. "As long as I'm not No. 1 [in drops], I'm OK with that."
We have three young, very fast receivers. That speed is of no use with Fitz as our QB. They are not accomplished route runners like Decker and Marshall. I notice that Enunwa gets some catches early and then Fitz loses interest in him. If I am the Browns, I sit on Marshall and dare the Beard to throw deep. I am also stuffing the box.
two much better second half performances the last two weeks - primarily down to us finally getting some turnovers and Fitz not turning the ball over.
How in Sam Hill did the coaching fall off a cliff from last year to this? Again, I can't understand how/why he lost the locker room as well...
the coaching is pretty much the same as it was, the perception is different because our record suck due to better competition.
updated - after a couple of half decent results the Jets are back to their usual second half failings. At least we only had 1 interception this week. 4 times this season we have failed to score ANY points in the second half - that is abysmal.
this season is toast - I wish they could just throw in the towel now and get started on the off season early
updated to reflect more second half failure (not that the first half was any better this time around)
updated Aside from the Bills game the only games we have had any second half success in have been against the Browns and the Niners (the two worst teams in the NFL who also gave us 2 of our 4 wins)
