Yeah he's better than Hackett & Downing though. It's not a big win or a big miss, its just another example of friends hiring friends

Well we’ll see…we are pretty much remaking the entire offensive staff it feels like…new OC, new OL coach, new WR coach, new passing game coordinator, etc

if nothing else, we have some experienced coaches on O now, so I hope that helps…I am very underwhelmed with the Hackett hire…pretty much the one guy I didn’t want, but he’s here now so I’m hoping for the best.

I think with pretty much ANY QB we bring in and if we can stabilize the OL we should be much better on O regardless of who the coordinator is…

No one's saying we should give up a 1st round pick for the guy. I'm not even saying the guy's a stud but he'd be a solid, somewhat young addition, and gives us that big body guy that we're lacking (if CD gets cut).

You guys seriously wouldn't be on board with giving up a 5th or 6th round pick for Sutton?

That would require knowing who Courtland Sutton is.

He has 1 year left on his deal, is due 18 million, and drops more than Davis. That's not worth any picks. Maybe if we reworked his contract to spread the 18 million out over two seasons I'd offer Mims for him? Or if the Broncos eat his bonus'.

Incorrect, he has 3 years left on his deal that expires in 2025. You could potentially get out of his deal starting next year with a 7.6M dead cap hit, which goes down to 3.8M if you cut him prior to the '25 season.

He had more drops because he had double the amount of receptions and targets. (Well almost double on the targets, 106-58)

Good point, my mistake. He has 3 years left. I'd be open to trading Mims for him. But also, there are so many quality WRs in the draft these days that its hard to give up capital for a mid line WR with potential when you can get that potential for cheaper in the draft.

However, it could be that Sutton is primed to return to his old self which would make him a value?

I don’t think anyone with any football knowledge takes him seriously.

All good man. Only point I've been trying to make is he would be a solid addition to our WR room on a not awful deal, that's somewhat easy to get out of after this year.

I'm def not trying to give up a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or even a 4th for him but if you can get him for a 5th or a 6th? Especially if they cut CD? I'm definitely interested then.

I don’t see what’s wrong with Nagle’s point? They’ve had one receiver break a thousand yards since this guy got there in 2018 and that’s Sutton in 2019. They’ve also spent a first round pick and two second round picks on receivers to get those results. No thousand yard receiver in Chicago either.

There’s a lot of factors in this including QB play and coach and all that jazz. I’m not sure how much a receivers coach really impacts their play.

However, his resume is god awful.

You can think less of Sutton and Patrick. To say you don't even know who they are means you shouldn't be taken seriously.

Well that’s kind of silly. You don’t have to take him seriously, I guess, but his point makes a lot of sense.

I don’t think anyone take him seriously at this point.

Courtland Sutton was well on his way to being a great receiver. Very good rookie year, great second year and then he got injured the first game of the next season and hasn’t been the same since. Even with a total mess of an all fancies pull up decent numbers the last two years. Tim Patrick was a nobody that became a somebody. this is the coach that the bills were after and he as overrated as I think they are, it’s hard to argue with any of the staffing decisions they’ve made over the last few years.

You’re really propping up Tim Patrick who produced a couple seasons along similar lines to guys like Mack Hollins and Darius Slayton as a big success story for the coach?

700 yards dawg. He didn’t put up 1400.

What woulda been a large testicles move woulda been to hire Brian Hartline away from Ohio State as the new OC & WR coach

The recievers he is churning out at Ohio State are precision route runners wise beyond their years, which we benefitted from with Garrett Wilson of course. I want that here in our building more.

But yah Courtland Sutton is real good too. And did you see the development of Tim Patrick? wowww stars in my eyes there
