I wish the Porter incident wasn't brought up.

For once in forever, I feel really good about our coaching staff.

Well he comes across MUCH better than Gase or Bowles did...

Gase and his crazy drug eyes, and Bowles with his mumbling “hold on I’m taking a dump” grimace....

this guy speaks confidently, has energy, and speaks like he knows what he’s doing

someone else said it well...a bit like Rex in terms of energy but without the buffoonery

I like letting JD run the show, I like the vibes from the coach....I think he will connect with players instead of alienating them

these things tend to go in cycles .... teams coming off a players coach tend to hire a disciplinarian type, and vice versa.

but I can envision an energetic team and sideline...I can envision players engaged and excited...I can envision an offensive scheme that does not revolve around running a 37 year old RB straight into the line for two yards....and hopefully a get to the ball high energy defense

    There’s hope!

I just watched the whole thing and feel like Saleh spent the whole time kissing the ass of his bosses. A bunch of cliches and not a lot of mention about the team itself, like he took the job because Hymie and Chris Johnson are so genuine?

I get it, it's his first HC job and there were nerves and he was trying not to say the wrong thing, but one thing he said was "be true to yourself" and I don't feel like I saw a lot of Robert Saleh during that presser.

First looks aren't everything but it wasn't impressive.

that is true to himself. like he said he treats his team like family. family is important to him. he's not gonna get into schemes or roster during his hiring conference. you think he's gonna come on and say yeah we are dumping sam, our talent sucks, JD will hire better players, i'm just here to coach them lol

Besides the obvious things from the press conference with no google eyes or having to listen to Manesh ask questions the one thing I loved about the interview was how humble Saleh came off. How it seems he takes responsibility and wants to earn player trust. The idea of asking players to put team goals ahead of personal goals and to sacrifice themselves for their teammates is a beautiful concept but hard to get players to buy into. Listening to Saleh I can see why players love him and are willing to follow him off a cliff. He does not just talk but seems to live the lifestyle of holding himself accountable. Essentially, he appears to be the anti-Gase. Football just might become fun again.

Sh*t, it may not go the way we want with Saleh, but this image is all I need to be convinced that Campbell is going to be a train wreck.
