and? You for one point correct, he is consistant...but your not correct in what he's consistant at. Here's the thing you can take ANY QB and isolate a few plays every season that show's he's got "Great" potential. Really? O'Brien? the man who hit double digits in Interceptions only 4 times in his career and led the league in interception % 3 times and was in the top handful another 3 times? The same O'Brien who in his first 4 season's had two seasons of nearly 4,000 yards passing, had thrown 25 TD Passes in two of his first 4 years? The same O'Brien who had more than 7.5 YPA on two of his first 4 seasons? Obrien wasn't a great QB, but he was far better than Sanchez at this point in time. Anyone can say so and so has as much talent as so and so. Anyone can make excuses, but the fact is when the Jets were winning Sanchez wasn't that good, in fact he's been very constant over the four years as QB...consistantly bad. In two years he's had one category that was average for the league, not the same category and not more than one category. I can buy apound of horsecrap and call it hamburger helper, but its still a pile of horsecrap. As far as a 90 rating, I don't give a crap about quarterback rating, you know that quarterback rating says that Gabbard is like the 15th or 16th best rated QB currently active... A 60% passing completion would be a good start, as long as the other periphals are equally improved. But I'll say this, no way Sanchez completes 60% of his passes AND has more than 300 attempts and has a YPA equal to or gereather than the league average. His accuracy even when he has an open receiver isn't that good.
Be ause they are RARE. When it was in the gameplan, (st Louis) he hit 75 percent, most of them on stride on time, with a couple exceptions. That's been my argument through the whole thread... In week one... He's going down the field and outside with EXCEPTIONAL precision. And then in Week 10, he's executing WCO style plays....with EXCEPTIONAL precision. The problem may be partly the player, but like Pre Jets Vinny, it's mostly COACHING. That's not advocacy, that's observation...that's why the haters won't go to NFL.COM box scores, and support their assertions. I'm not saying spend 50 hours watching 16 weeks of game tape....go find the glaring weaknesses that aren't scheme related... So we can discuss them. But I e tired of this discussion. By week 6, these guys will have found something else to whine about...
St Louis. First dir e 3rd and 4 quick hitter on the numbers. 13:17 on the clock. 2nd and 6 10:48 he hits hill on the hands at full speed in stride .....drop. Next play he has the ball out and high, strip...he recovers. That's coaching. The ball should be held closer. 3:04 in the first quarter after Howard gives up a sack to Chris long, he throws a bullet to (ayfkme) Clyde Gates on 2 nd and 13 for 10. On the next play, he lays it over an INJURED Joe McKnoghts shoulder in to his bread basket. ( with laurinaitus covering) which also means tha McKnights speed was not what it is....all QB. Result next play knocked away, jets get 3. * Next posession, Bradford, throwing OUTSIDE THE FUCKING NUMBERS WITH SCHOTTY CALLING THE PLAYS THROWS A PIC TO.....ERIC SMITH? Then Howard gives up the rams fourth sack ( Chris long) jets take 3. Commentators talking about what ???? *PROTECTION problems. FG blocked. Next drive o's effed up b. of *co erage we come back at 2nd and two which they convert. Tebow comes in hands off to Kerley they lose 1. Sanchez hits Mc Knight in the hands on an open sideline.... 3rd down. Not on Nacho. But he hits hill for 10.5. Again the route.jets punt. Turnover...nacho from the 32... TD. To Schillens? Nextosession 2:18 False start 2nd and 16 He nails Kerley in stride for a first. v
And ps...Lang INTELLIGENT con ersation about Sanchez...has to start with the St Louis game. A defense schitty saw for THREE FUCKING YEARS AND A. QB HE COACHED..should not have e wn been a game. but Schitty got smoked..l Or did I also misread that score? Not. Player...coaching.
How can you guys even argue with a guy whose posts are as unintelligible as his? Geeze, I'm trying, but it's painful.
After the Polian rule? I'm not saying it shouldn't. Go back and retread my posts... Modern offense works like this... You use the slot and the TE to left to right back and forth.. To make heavy guys run sprints early...and light guys come forward... Then you move outside and down. Welker, Hernandez,Gronk. Beli was the first guy to get it. Rules aren't rules...they're imperfect and leave holes to be exploited. The laws we live under are the same way...lfootball? AYFKM... Every play should have a receiver breaking at 7 yards..... And looking for a flag. In off co enrage, you cannot defend it. Any touch....is a penalty
It's gratifying to act like an asshole, but I've 15x your post count. Bc I now post from an apple product, ( you know fuckyouautocorrec) is something Adukts get. But hey...nice way to contribute to the discussion at hand, moron.
If I had any clue what that middle bit said I'd make fun of it. And if what you were trying to say was you're an adult... way to sling personal insults around.
How can you guys even argue with somebody that uses an iPhone? Or uses that annoying term "Apple product"?
The fact that he uses Apple products is his only redeeming quality at this point. It certainly aint football discussion.
Again....you fail to grasp the point. Is Sanchez, playing with the equals of Freeman McNeil, Mickey Shuler, Al toon, and Wesley walker? No. Yet he's 5 points lower on completion percentage, and KO, only hot the 25 TD mark Twice in his first four years. Once more than Mark, but Mark did toss 26, which Obrien never did? Look, I like a discussion as much as the next guy, but you're not into that. You're a hater. Fine go be one. You'll be wrong, by week 6. Even the stats you just tried to distort, make my argument , we know Sanchez throws too many picks. But that's coaching. ( OB was a better passer, in an UNconstrained era for DBS, no doubt...but their career path, is being ruind by coaching, not the lack of physi al talent so either tell me how good Nachos coaching has been, or ignore me...because that's my ,ain point)
No it's fucking IPAD, ,so I don't have to sit at the desk, and because I spend countless hous at " the soccer palace" cut me a break. Autocrrectblows
Let me try to end my partiocipation, in this idiocy by saying.... The closest thing he's done...to MM s offense was week 10, in STL. He completed 75 percent, smoked his former boss, who also knew the defense he'd face. I find it amusing that the haters here aren't providing any OC stats, to argue the point, that it's the coaching....not the player.
Oh, and PS...Matt moore, and Matt Flynn could never get off the fuckimg bench.l,but their upside sis better, than the franchise leader in road pkayoyoffnwins, and yes I know that's a bullshit stat.,, ButMoore, Flynn, Jackson never got there. And everyone of you naysayers, have not produced post one...lot discuss the coaching involved. Gfy
Teddy Bridgewater will fit in this offense perfectly when we start Sanchez and go 4-12  Hopefully the investment will come through though. I like what Hobbes is saying here, but I can't justify one St. Louis game over the past 18 games (last 3 of 2011 and all of 2012).
Then watch week one vs buffalo. Sanchez problems are all coaching related. Like wasteverde. Then he cam here, 29~7 TD to ints for the first time. It's exactly the same. Gilyard, gates, Rueland really
I understand exactly what you mean, he is not a great QB but if Rex had turned him over to a good offensive coaching staff he would be a good QB for the Jets. I have always stated the reason the jets did not go to the SB was their inexperienced OC, if the Jets had a good seasoned OC he would have handled this offense and MS much better than BS. Hopefully the Jets draft some skilled players on offense for MM to work with.
Blame coaches all you want for nachos ineptitude, but anyone who has watched sports as long as you have would and should know, players make coaches.... Not coaches make players! There is no way that anybody in their right mind can say tacos mistakes fall on anyone other than himself! Pro football coaches don't have to teach these guys like little leaguers, and if they need to then that player is not a pro! Definitely not the #5 pick in the draft! They do more learning a system and carrying out strategy assignments in the pros more than individual help on skills are you kidding me? Blame shift all you want Sancho fanbois, the coaches told him to go do something and I guarantee you it wasn't turn it over, or make a bad decision, or throw behind your teammate, or overlook a wide open teammate in the end zone, or cost us a game, a playoff birth, or AFC championship game!
