I’m so tired about reading that if Tomlin wanted Fields, blah, blah, blah. Fact is he made his moves last season, that did not set well with Fields and told him to take a hike. Now they are playing with the AR “let me ponder and meditate” where I should go and take my time routine. What is apparently clear to me is that A) it would be idiotic for AR to go to the Giants. That is no way to end your career with a team in worse shape than the Jets B) The Steelers are in a trap and if AR does not sign there they are hosed. Tomlin is under the gun C) Vikings are the best team but why in hell will they want to go with AR and completely screw up the rookie QB. If that is the case should have kept Sam minus all the drama. Welcome to AR world
Precisely. All sides, including the Rodgers' camp, are leaking like sieves to all these NFL insiders. I suspect that 90% of these leaks are wishful thinking or some other form of bullshit. While I don't think the Rodgers' camp is the only side leaking, it does seem that this kind of circus does follow Rodgers wherever he goes (or doesn't go).

Pittsburgh, the Vikings and the Giants are getting a crash course in the Aaron Rodgers Experience.
Looking forward to seeing AR in Black and Yellow. If I'm not mistaken, we play them at HOME this coming season.
Steelers captain and legend Cam Heyward on their waiting game with Rodgers “I ain't doing that darkness retreat. I don't need any of that crap," Heyward said on the Not Just Football podcast. "Either you want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler or you don't. That's simple, that's the pitch. If you want me to recruit, that's the recruiting pitch. Pittsburgh Steelers — if you want to be part of it, so be it. If you don't, no skin off my back."
Yes Tomlin benched him. If he believed in him and wanted him he wouldn't have. It's pretty straight forward
The hard part will be for the Jets fans who wanted to blame Rodgers 100% on the Jets record. So under that logic if he goes to Minnesota he should get 100% credit for the record he provides. (I'm sure they will make excuses and never admit that the Jets coaching staff, defense and kicker were awful).
This is incredible, a mind is indeed a very powerful thing. He benched him in Oct 2024. He wanted him back in March 2025. It is indeed pretty straight forward. Unless you see only what you want to see...
Give us all a break. Nobody blames Rodgers 100% for the Jets record. Who thinks the Jets coaching staff, defense and kicking game weren't problems?
Most people in this thread itself are blaming Rodgers more then anything else while putting the minority blame on other factors.
100%. Arod will excel on either team with their support system already built up. He would be smart to stay far away from the Giants.
I highly doubt he would go there since they are worse off then the Jets and they have very little talent on offense outside of 1 WR.
Rodgers is not to blame for last year although him starting his prima dona shit in training camp didn’t help, Joe Douglas is to blame for last year and woody pencil dick. Joe Douglas screwed up a elite defense and wouldn’t replace a kicker when he kept costing us games, and woody should of fired saleh after the 2023 season and instead fired him 5 games later to replace him with someone even worse, nothing with this organization ever makes sense
Some of what @SOXXX2 saying is perhaps true, as there may be a few people who blame Rodgers for a lot, saying he was the GM of the team and a coach too and fucked it all up. These people are wrong, if there are even any who say this, but I believe it is a small minority. I am in the same camp as you. JD did not protect him in 2023. Duane Brown, Billy Turner, Carter Warren, Max Mitchell and Becton, who is a RG, not OT, were his tackles. No quality depth on the inside either. Rodgers was going to get badly hurt in 2023 no matter what. And it 2024, was Rodgers the same guy who was a HOF player in GB? Of course not. He was below average, but still decent. JD fucked up the DL and Kicker, coaching was shit, special teams sucked, and Rodgers, who can't carry the team on his shoulders anymore, also wasn't great himself. However, I also don't buy that Rodgers himself was amazing because he threw for a lot of yards and TDs (ignoring other stats) and the Jets fucked up by replacing him with Fields. Offense was decent talentwise. JD finally put out a serviceable OL in his 6th year, and WR room was excellent with GW and Adams. Still offense was #25, and yes, Rodgers does deserve some blame for that. Ultimately we got a guy in Fields who last year performed on par with Rodgers, 16 years younger, has a lot of upside, while Rodgers is in the downward trajectory at this point of his career, and costs about half. That was a smart thing to do.
