Nothing to feel good about this season. Third place third worst coach and GM in the division. The only thing that changed from last year is Miami is now much better than us on both sides of the ball and in the front office and Buffalo isn't.

Epic collapse with a boring Offense and an ineffective Defense.

    Definitely a good season.

    u kidding me?

This was a horrible season! At 8-3 to this? At 8-3 you reset the goals of the team and theres no way this team should have missed the playoffs. Favre was a HUGE mistake and Mangini has to go. The problem now is Favre wont let u k now what hes doing till who knows when. This was in no way a good season for the NY JETS.

8-3 to finish 9-7. Good season my ass! To say the Jets had a good season is a ridiculous statement. Next year next year blah blah..... I wish we would all stop making excuses for this team. You finish the season on what really should have been a 4 game losing streak barring the miracle against the bills. That is called underacheiving my freind.

is it safe to grab our torches and pitchforks.....and wait outside Mangini's house now? I mean...there was a lot of bitching over the last couple weeks in regards to people calling for a coaching change on this board....I think after today...the bitching was justified.

I'm hoping Woody drops the hammer quick and gets started on interviewing potential replacements.

ENOUGH OF THE SUBPAR RESULTS...WE HAVE THE TALENT...LET'S BRING IN A COACH THAT CAN BRING IN A WINNING CULTURE.

    Are you Kidding Me?

The Jets had one of the easiest schedules. They lost 4 games to sub 500 teams. Please, they spent a fortune on free agents and Favre was anything but Favre like. Moreover by playing Favre we have set back the rookie QBs from a year of progression. Now we have to start all over again. This was probably the worst possible scenario. We won just enough to keep Mangini and keep the same system.

No more excuses. If Ryan, Flacco and even Cassel can get the job done then Clemens or Ratliff cant do any worse than Favre. This guy has lost a lot of games for us this year with stupid throws that most rookies with common sense wouldn't try.

I'm not convinced we have the talent. Jags at WR and running back. No proven QB, Mediocre right side of the OL. Big front but slow with one really good CB and one Safety who has gone from a top 5 to a mid pack player in one year.

i have to disagree with you, WB....i think the talent is there....just wasn't utilized correctly. Especially the defense.

If they keep him and the same system, I refuse to pay good money to support it. I will let my NFL package lapse for the 1st time ever.

This was the only nightmare scenario and was completely obvious in August.

Miami looks like they have a much better OL to me, much better running backs a couple of huge targets in the passing game and a true speed WR. On D it's not even comparable they are far better than we are.

I'll tell you what, WB....if the Jets fire Sutton and replace him with a more qualified DC...and they're STILL playing like shit next season. Then I will concede your point.

I think the talent is there from a foundation standpoint. We need a few upgrades and players with speed on Defense; along with Coordinators who know how to gameplan, adjust, and what to do with the players.

No.. Not a good season. 8-3 to 9-7 is a massive failure. Especially when you lose to teams like Oakland, Seattle and San Fran..

This was my big argument back in August - many said it was an upgrade!!??? Look what the stakes were - failure to make the playoffs was one thing, but to now look at the past and not know what the present brings, don't try to alibi it by saying the franchise looks at this as learning experience.

This could possibly set the Jets back 2-3 years if they are unable to find a leader at QB. Jets are not good enough to carry the load of a so-so QB.

Could be right but I see JAGS all over the field on both sides of the ball. Keller looks like he has big time talent and Leon is a weapon, Revis is a great player. DBrick is a nice LT, Jenkins is a solid NT and Harris and Pace are solid LB, Rhodes is clearly not becoming a great player solid not great. Jones is decent but hardly a true power back and hasn't shown any ability to set the tempo game after game to pound the ball for first downs consistently, pretty much a decent No. 2.
