Yeah, a great OC. Thanks for making my point. And no, any casual observation of last season, would see, that run for 1 on first, and two. On second cosistentlymputmthemQB in bad situations wasn't really watching
Sanchez single handily lost at least 4 games last year. I am not saying we wouldn't have lost the games anyway, but He single handily put the team in a position to lose. Alex Smith or any other half way intelligent QB makes our team a 10-6 team, IMO.
Your point was that they weren't telling him to be conservative. Now that I blew that all to shit your point is that the OC was bad. Done.
Do we get to the playoffs with out the defense and run game we had? If not, I support Sanchez 100% If so, Sanchez did not win the games, he didn't lose them.
Until Sanchez sucks balls again, and now for the 3rd straight year, and the 3rd straight coordinator. Here I will give you a built in excuse. "How can he play well while being in his 3rd different system in 3 years?"
I don't think this is an accurate assessment. I think a good QB might have taken the Jets to 9-7, 10-6 territory. I think Alex Smith would have had the same problems Sanchez did with a depleted WR corps and not enough time to pass. Smith would have just thrown the ball away a lot more often. Football Outsiders ranked the Jets offensive line as the 30th worst in pass protection last year.
This. I don't think the sack totals tell the whole story. I don't think there was anything wrong with the individuals on the offensive line. It was the absolutely terrible scheme. There was never a clear, clean pocket formed. It looked like a peewee football game where they just hit the guy in front of them until someone eventually got overmatched. I can see how it could have been tough to find throwing lanes. P.S. I am not defending Sanchez so to anyone reading this, do not fire quick-tempered insults at me.
Almost everybody here thought that moving to a man scheme was going to somehow help the offensive line, even though some of the better players on the line were doing very well in the zone scheme. Of course that was because most people didn't understand what a man blocking scheme actually was and just assumed it was simpler.
i remember that... it was going to make ducasse a much better player if i remember correctly. i think alot of people got caught up in what they wanted it to make occur instead of looking at it realistically.
Ha yeah. Fans have a tendency to do that. Every time the Phins get a new coach I'm an optimist until we are 0-3 yet again
as a darksider i find myself always trying to tell people its not about what you want to have happen its about what realistically you should expect to happen. i know alot of people dont like it but what can i do.
Shouldn't you change your name to NAPA, tool. So having an opinion based on context is now insult worthy?
