I don't know where the OTHER is coming from -- Westchester ? Rockland ? -- but I am surprised Long Island isn't bigger.

Denver, CO. Going to the Jets game in Denver this year is probably the worst memory I've had here since I moved. Grew up in NJ.

Already did, it's called Jet fans: What are your roots? It's more based on where we come from rather than where we live, I also bumped up the thread of the Mets/Jets thing being a myth.

Much less of a troll than you get credit for.

There are posters here that claim to be Jets fans that make you look like a hardcore, football-only poster. Though you do have your moments.

I put queens because that's where I was born And lived until 2002. Live in Texas now because this is where I was stationed.

Pretty surprising that all 5 boroughs put together are only representing about 12%.

Question. How many people in your life, who root for the Jets, have told you that they post on internet message boards? Anytime I go back east, I really stop posting, because I can talk to anybody about the Jets..

Forums like this were built for long distance fans.

Virginia Beach, Virginia. Not much of a fanbase down here.

To answer your question first, zero. However, I live back east and although I have a handful of friends who are also Jets fans, we usually don't hang out and talk Jets unless we're out watching a game together. Also, talking to a couple of buddies about the team is a totally different thing than TGG where I can converse with thousands of Jets fans, some of whom have a very in-depth knowledge of the game, find all kinds of news, articles, talk shit to rival fans, etc.

So, while it might be a lot easier to find a fellow Jet fan to talk to if you live near NYC, I don't see why, if you're a fan who's interested in keeping up with the ins and outs of what's happening with the team, that would keep you from going on a Jets message board to do so.

So anyway, I get your point, and it probably has validity, but I'm still surprised that NYC isn't better represented on TGG.

Recently moved from Jersey to DC. I rep the Jets proudly here. You think we have it bad here with a disappointing season? I'll take what we have any day over the Skins. From talking to people, it's been doom and gloom here for 20+ years. Not just talking about championships, but actual exciting seasons.
