you should dig up the posts when I attempted to lead the revolution of changing the mentality that has befallen this team. No one wanted to take part in changing the culture. I became a foolish zealot for not seeing the franchise for what it is.

I'm not sugar coating anything for this franchise. If the truth sounds negative, that sucks for us. Let's start changing it next season. Otherwise, what I said continues to be true.

    And my "rants"???

You must have me mistaken for someone else... my criticisms of this clueless offseason have been minor compared to 90% of everyone here.

The problem w/ Jets & Giant fans is we both wait for good things to happen. I have been to many other Stadiums and their fans are into every play, standing and getting loud on 1st down when opponents have the ball but we wait until it's 3rd or 4th and short or until after big plays.

I think that is a media created thing, the crowds at baseball games are the same sit on their hands types until something good happens until postseason. That's the same thing that happens w/ our NFL teams. The Jax and Indy playoff games our crowd was up all game.

It is hard to compare baseball and football crowds, due to the length of the baseball season, but in general I agree. When there is a big series in town, both the Mets and Yankees have rocking crowds. Back in the Ewing days, Knick crowds were super loud, especially in the post season.

A lot of things contribute to the lack of strong football crowds in NY....corporate seats and stadium location (including traffic) are two. I believe if the Jets built the West Side Stadium, it would have made a difference. Then games would have been a "city event". In the meadowlands, it is more of an excursion to go to a game.

In the end, saying Jet crowds are better than Giant crowds is like saying George W Bush's presidency was better than Rutherford B Hayes'....even if it were true, who cares?

The Jets and Giants always have great crowds for big games, big games aren't the problem. It's once something goes wrong the crowd gets deflated but that happens at yankee and Met games as well. Game 7 in 2004 wasn't exactly rockin' at Yankee Stadium when the Sox got the big lead.
