People like to rip the Jets because they aren't playing great, but no one says hey in spite of injuries all over the offensive side of the ball and some poor personnel decisions this team is over achieving. They had the hardest schedule in football over the first 10 weeks and threaded water through injuries to their best defensive and offensive player. They have seen Keller go down, suffered uglyblow out losses, but they are still fighting and clawing. Dysfunctional, a joke, how about the Cardinals? The Panthers, The Lions? The Bills? The Raiders? etc... Teams that started out hot and folded or teams coming in with a lot of hype and just shit the bed. Jets get an unfair shake in the media because even with all the negative they are still fighting and clawing - as a fan I respect that.
I completely agree. Despite the fact that we've seemed terrible this year, with all setbacks taken into consideration, it has to show for something that we are still in the playoff mix. As a Jet fan, you have to be content with this since this season has been so bad and yet we are still in it and fighting.
Like I said in another thread...try telling fans of teams that haven't sniffed the playoffs in over 10 years how bad we are for 'only' having gotten the the AFC Championship game twice in a row and they'd probably slap you!
Any reason to bring this into the "Who to root for" thread and not the "Sanchez Sucks" thread that is 125234235 pages long? Seems like you posted in the wrong thread except you quoted the OP. Anyways, the list looks accurate. This is the big weekend. Going into Monday Night we know where we are going to sit, and so will the team playoffs. If things break our way with Philly/DAL wins or even just one, we are sitting nice.
Seems like a topical post to me. This post is about what to root for in order for the Jets to make the playoffs. In that context, Sanchez going inactive is obviously something Jet fans should be rooting for, as well as getting help from other teams.
I remember sanchez making some monster plays for the jets over the last few years. Too bad the idiots in charge forgot about the offense for 3 years
Not to me. It's not like our gameplan is changing based on QB. It's going to be run the ball, don't do anything stupid on special teams, let the defense wear the other offense down. The jets have to win, we all talk endlessly if this can happen, how likely, with whom. This thread seems more about the other games which we all will be watching before Monday. It's a good guide to the non obvious jets, steelers, bengals, colts games
As stated before Philly over Cincy would be REALLY lucky. The key game is that last BAL vs CIN game, hopefully BAL has to play for something. This of course is if Pitt loses 2 games, one to Cincy This was a good idea by the NFL scheduling division games to end the season.
Yeah, but it also works with: Dallas beats Pitt Pitt beats Cincy Balt beats Cincy Cle beats Pitt Not completely crazy. As long as Dallas beats Pittsburgh today, we have a viable path regardless of the winner of Pitt/Cincy.
i dont even know who to root for next week assuming the Jets win on Monday....i'm seriously beyond confused with the scenarios. PLEASE DO THIS AGAIN.
IF we win, the Pitt or CIN winner doesn't matter as with either win, we have a way to get into the playoffs. I think we would rather CIN just because they play BAL while PIT plays CLE but both are going on the road to end their seasons. If we win this week and next week, we can't get eliminated until week 17
