If there is an offer on the table that they don't want to pay, and they know the Jets won't issue it because they're obviously not giving up the pick, they could work out a trade for a lesser pick. It has happened before.

This article is just an opinion of the writer's. There is no evidence here that the Jets are actually planning to sign Taylor.

I think the Jets should just keep #4, #29, and #35 and take their chances. In a very solid draft they should come away with three opening day starters.....

If we do decide to go after ike taylor, we should try to get him for a 3rd rounder, if they dont bite throw in a comp pick.

Taylor has good size for a corner and has very fluid movement. He has very good foot quickness and shows he can flip his hips and turn and run with most receivers on vertical routes. He has very good body control and change of direction skills, very good upper body strength, and he uses his hands well to create separation and keep blockers away from his frame. He does a good job of getting hands on and rerouting receivers off the line. His ball skills are very good, and he has good hands, good leaping ability and will battle for the jump ball. He likes to mix it up and is a strong tackler, even in the open field. He gets a good break on the thrown ball and can undercut a receiver to make a play. He is still a little raw and shows some inconsistencies in play recognition. At times, he will bite on a play fake and get himself out of position. He tends to get turned around and lose the ball occasionally on deep throws.
