exactly. people think we need to give him a huge contract, he's under contract next yr. we can extend him for 3 years for about 33-35 mil. even 2 yrs for 25-28 mil.
Why would Seattle even need Revis? They have a top corner duo already. Redskins is a better suiter imo. Revis and Sanchez for Cousins and Orakpo Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
lol no, hell no, we'd be the laughing stock of the league for trading Revis unless it nets us picks, picks and more picks
I am a big Larry fan, but unless the Jets upgrade their Qb position, he would be as wasted on this team as he was on the Cards this season.
No, The only thing that would justify trading Revis is for a QB, You trade Revis and a 1st rounder For a Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers type. There's no other trades other then that , Trading for a WR unless his name is MEGATRON doesn't make sense and even that is a risky move. You can get solid WR's through free agency every year. Look at the Patriots,Broncos,Giants,Packers and down the list. They don't have any hall of fame type WR's just really good ones. But its hard to judge a WR when Sanchez is the QB because look at Eric Decker now with Manning he has over 90 catches this season after having like 10 catches last season
I would love this. He be wasted for hopefully only a season more and him and Tone would not be wasted. One of them could always have big game with the other drawing attention. This only looks at Revis as a player. If Revis is hinting or wants to holdout to redo his contract again, is it worth it to give him WR or even QB money? While he is far and away the best CB in the game, there wasn't much of a drop off with Cro coming in. Yes, Cro gave up some catches and TDs Revis wouldn't but our pass defense did not fall off a cliff. Also with the DL and LB hopefully getting more pressure without blitzing, it leads to less of a need for a CB to be on an island. Trading Revis is enticing for a haul just because a CB doesn't impact the game as much as an extra draft pick could impact and help this team. This sounds terrible, but Revis' injury might let us keep him at a reasonable rate. He can't demand as much coming off of an injury and the Jets have leverage of the injury to use on Revis to keep the contract high, but not unreasonably high. I really hope we keep Revis, but if him and his agent have unrealistic goals coming off a surgery, the trade thought has to be entertained.
Scott, Pace, E. Smith, J. Smith gone. Thomas will more than likely be joining them as well. I'd ideally look to move Harris and Pouha as well. Bring back DeVito (he said he wants to be back and I see no reason why he shouldn't - he played well last year). Landry seems to be out of our price range and is still too big of a gamble IMO with his health. Bell needs to be brought back. Dangle Revis see if you get any offers. As far as offense; pipe dream would be to unload Sanchez but that's just that. I'd be okay with not bringing Keller back as long as we commit to Cumbo for a bigger role. Definitely want Greene back as long as we can pair him with another runner (a la how him and Thomas Jones worked so well in 09). Keeping Braylon around would be good as well, see if we can find a sucker for Holmes' contract. Think Brandon Moore's time is up. And yeah, Tebow's gone.
Got a kick out of Loudmouths yesterday, subject was should Fart Scott return next year and they both looked at each other and laughed uincontrollably
