I don't believe all that, didn't hear a word about anyone active being hurt-maybe I was yelling too much?
I don't like seeing our D nicked up this way. We're facing our toughest game ever this Sunday. It'll be a high scoring game in this case. Offense needs to carry the load...
Let's all try not to worry too much until game time. Some of this is last minute recovery. We've got 48 hours until these guys have to be healthy. A lot of it could just be bumps and bruises.
I'm more concerned with the prospect of Leonard sitting than Rhodes, whose play thus far has been nothing more than ordinary. With Leonard and a guy like Ihebio [sic] substiuting in, I don't think that you'll see much of a dropoff than when Rhodes is in the game. Ed Reed he is not.... Losing our starting CB's is an entirely different issue.
I think Rex might be exaggerating some of the Injury Report stuff to get in the Saints head, specifically Payton. Like others have said the only players I'm worried about being healthy are Sheppard and Strickland. I think Rex is inviting them to pass early, not that they weren't going to anyway but just to give them a wee bit more incentive.
7-4-0 would be better, line 3 guys between the guards, 1 up center and 1 each in the A gaps. 3 guys crushing the pocket up the middle and Brees with his 6-0 frame will be fucked
The idea of depending on Coleman makes me feel... nauseous. And I don't nickname Lowery as Pepto Bismal, either.
If mangini was still the coach I would say gamesmanship for certain. But Ryan probably is just being cautous. Which I can understand.
