I see him as a backup, or maybe a 1 year starter stopgap this year. If we sign him, I still think we take a tackle in the first three rounds, which we probably should.

Oh if we could get Gilles that would make my draft, and now with adequate depth it will be BPA so it is possible before with Moore and Kendall being our only 2 concrete guys I did not see it as a possibility

Pearson sounds like another Mangini Guy

Pearson seems to be that hard working low key team guy that Mangini is profiling. We will take OL early in the draft, I don't think that anyone believes we leave the draft with less that 2 OL in the fold. Mangini wants competition at camp and it's starting now.

Hopefully Pearson and Teague are just depth signings and they still grab an OT and Mangold in the draft.

The only time Reggie Bush's name should be used here ...

Here is the only realistic context to use the words Reggie Bush on this site ...

    1) I wonder who will be the second pick in the draft after the Texans select _____

    2) Leinart and White played on the same team as ______

    3) That guys the best back in the draft after ________

    He's not coming here fuggedaboutit.

Ferguson shouldn't be picked, regardless of signing Pearson.

Agreed. We need a playmaker at #4 or trade down.

Pearson is a nice insurance policy, but that's it. I've spent a lot of time looking at the Jags LT position (mainly because of Khalif Barnes, those that remember last year feel free to laugh), and Pearson's injuries have really relegated him to a lesser form of himself. Solid player when healthy, but I highly doubt he's now starter quality.
