Apparently not only Gruden didn't like him if he only had 9 receptions and 80 yards in 13 active games last year.
This is part of the Mac's BPA philosophy of filling holes to give the team flexibility in the draft. This is a deep TE draft and we could still draft a TE but now there is less pressure to reach for one.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...-claim-exraiders-te-clive-walford-via-waivers I think this is a good move. As you said, Noam, it removes the immediate pressure to draft a TE. Assuming that Leggett is healthy, knows the offense, and the Jets still like him, I think it could be a decent group of TEs. A couple of questions for those of you who know more about Walford...1. Does he block? 2. If so, is he a good blocker?
I like this move he is Cheap and can catch,,but can the guy block ?,,,,,,ps I did not want to give ASJ 5 million let alone 7,,,,this is a good signing
The guy went out last year with a neck injury because they were using a talented WR at Hback. You really want to repeat that mistake?
If I remember correctly, his injury came in practice and was non contact. Had a bulging disc for a while. His best production came at H back. He's a matchup nightmare there.
I was talking about a punter. Don't think anyone didn't like him because he "only" had 9 receptions. Lol.
Because given the changes to the game even in college, run blocking isn't as important as in the past. Hard to find one TE who does both well
I read that post and thought I missed something . I didn't understand Walfords stats being used for king
I know, had to go back and read my post over again to make sure I didn't screw up. Not like I haven't done that before, lol You would think he'd come back and just say he missed it
