Koetter may have lost the team. They are one of the biggest disappointments in the NFL...Jets maybe favorite for this game lol.
Fitz lacks mobility? I think he moves well, and is a sneaky threat running. If the two guys are similar, I'd rather face the one without all the incentive, and without the history of boom or bust performances. With Winston at the helm, I think we can get this team to quit early.
On a side note, I'm flying down to watch this game for my annual Jets road trip. Should be a lot more interesting than I thought it would be! However I doubt I'll remember much
Fitz versus McCown, the guy who made the Jets look like a trash bin versus the guy who actually cares about his teammates and winning. This should be entertaining, think the Jets pull this one off and make it to 5-5
Confirmed Fitz will be starter as Winston has been shut down for a few weeks. I want the Jets to embarrass Fitz, a repeat of his 6 pick performance vs KC
More importantly than Fitz starting: The Bucs are terrible. Looks like they are a mess from the top to the bottom. No excuse for the Jets to not go in and beat them. Easier said than done though. Focus on stopping Doug Martin and force Fitz to throw. Should be a good recipe. On offense, be balanced and take a few deep shots. If all goes well, the Jets somehow can enter the BYE week at .500.
Mike Evans has been suspended 1 game per Ian Rappaport but can appeal. Depending on the appeal review, we may still see him, assuming he chooses to appeal. EDIT - Evans is appealing his suspension - no surprise
If I was him I wouldn't appeal. Winston is out. Fitz is in. He can use a break. As some said earlier: This would be a typical game for the Jets to lose though. Everything going their way heading into it.
He's appealing - but who knows if the NFL will see the appeal quick enough. This is the prototypical trap game but I really do want the Jets to pick Fitz off a bunch but I have a feeling it'll be closer than we all want to see.
Just said the same thing. Winning this game would turn the dial slightly away from the "Same Old Jets" that have haunted me for 30+ years of watching this team.
If anyone knows what Fitz can and can't do its the Jets. We have 2 years worth of game film and practice film to prepare. For him to come in beat this team would be completely unacceptable.
the bucs are a much worse team then us, but in typical jets fashion fitz coming back here to win would be par for the course. with that said I think it's one we take easily. TB is a bottom 5 team in the NFL
