minn may not want to trade him. it's not always that easy. we also can't trade our 1st or 2nd this year because of the rodgers trade. plus minn very likely gets a 2025 3rd for cousins walking. we can offer a 2024 3rd or a 2025 2nd but still it may not be worth it for them. if they trade him they lose 18 mil in cap space and the team taking him needs 10 mil in room. vikes only have 3.3 mil so need to clear about 15 mil in space to even be able to trade him and the jets would need to clear a mil and we lose that 10 mil for next offseason where we'll need to work on the tackles (both brown and becton are FAs) , whitehead is a FA, and we need 10ish mil for the rookies and without that roll over we are sitting at 9mil

I hate how he just used this team to get the Vikings deal in the first place, and I hate the player…he puts up very good stats but never wins. Never. Don’t know what it is about him but it just seems like he never delivers in crunch time. That being said, he’d be the best QB we’ve since what, Pennington? Vinny? Looking at the Vikings’ schedule they could realistically be 2-6/ 1-7. If that’s the case, they might want to lean into the tank and get a 2024 3rd instead of waiting for their comp in 2025.
