What is a chuch mouse? Champ, I have noticed you are making quite a few typos today...have you been hitting the Memorial day old-fashioneds again??
I seriously doubt that my expectations have any effect whatsoever on the quality of play exhibited by the Jets. Besides, its just a fact, given their history, that the period from the early to the middle '80s should be considerered a successful one.
Any year they do not win a SB is a unsuccessful year since the reason the season & POs are played is to win a world championship
Simple, whenever you post an article and someone complains about it, you blurt out this cheesy line about how you didn't write it and if they have a problem with the article, then to email the writer. I was just letting you see how it feels from the other side. And I find your statement about the media hilarious considering when you find an article that you feel supports your opinion, you treat it as golden. It's nice to know how you finally feel about the media though. The next time you praise an article that you feel supports whatever ridiculous drivel you're trying to say at the time, I'll remember just how you feel about the media.
So, one can't enjoy a good competitive team even if they don't win a championship? I shouldn't have fond memories of '98 or '85? Kinda takes the fun out of rooting for a team, doesn't it? Not even the Yankees win every year.
this guy is one of the biggest trolls on the board - i don't understand how he doesn't get banned for trolling because that's all he ever does. Is there a way to ignore people?
They did the right thing, you build a team from the line something daherm negliclicted to do his entire time here.
You are misssing the point totally SUCCESS is being WORLD CHAMPIONS less that you were UNSUCCESSFUL. Noboby is telling you what to do & not not to do are they now?
okay, just so i get this straight; what you're saying is, in the NFL there is one successful team per year. and going 0-16 is just as unsuccessful as going to a Conference Championship or Superbowl. And according to this thinking, last year, the Seahawks were just as unsuccessful as the Texans. is that what you mean? because if so, then, wow.... just, wow. cheers
I agree that the drafting of Powell and Ward didn't get us a SB but that doesn't mean that drafting them couldn't have gotten us a SB had the management at the time put the rest of the pieces in place. You can't deny that we will need a SB caliber line in order to win a SB.
Yes that I agree with but from what I heard & saw demostrated that excludes Fergy & Man the knock on him being to small & easy to be pushed around ala JV. Mayve we need more tough Aussie players whi like to bang heads & have contact with the other side.
I disagree with your definition. The success or lack thereof of a season depends on the position that the team is in. I would consider a .500 season in '06 to be a successful one.
I swear, you're such a tool. Whenever you read something that you think supports your twisted logic, you swear by it and keep repeating it over and over like it's the Bible. But then when someone posts a link or something that contradicts what you're saying, you immediately dismiss it because the media doesn't know what they're talking about. You can't have it both ways.
Wow, congratulations to the Jets' brass. Not to seem too much like a darksider, but is it really fair to be judging Tannenbaum and Mangini a month after the draft?
Nope, not fair at all, but that means it's not fair to praise them OR bash them. It's way too early. I have a "wait and see" attitude.
