in case you haven't notices, Romo is a lot faster than Roethlisberger...the size of the quarterback doesn't matter when defensive linemen are the ones getting the sacks. basically what you're saying is we will have 10 sacks vs. the cowboys.
Its gonna be tough but if we can come up with some sick defensive schemes to rush the QB well be hittin romo as hard in the mouth as we did ben. I Just dont think its gonna happen again. Our passing game is gonna be down with coles injured hopefull Tommy Jones rushes for 200 yards and 4 scores tommorow.
no genius, If Romo were magically in Big Ben's place last Sunday, we would have had more sacks, because he escaped a grand total of 3 pressures that a normal sized QB (Romo) would have went down on, just because he was able to break the tackles and no he is not ALOT faster...he is quicker and maybe a little faster...Big Ben is pretty fast himself....Just consult your Madden game
Rhodes has to pick up TO. Keep the CBs playing a short zone with Rhodes picking up TO early. If the D line/DEs can do what they did last week, slow down their offense and frustrate Romo into making bad decisions , thats how we will beat them. The Stunts and blitz packages worked very well , and Pitt didn't have a clue what audibles to call. My one worry there is if we do stack the line on a fake blitz is wheather our LBs can drop back in time. Romo has a very quick release. Just because we won last week gives us valuable momentum and confidence, dallas will be aware of that and will go for the jugular early on. The Jets players have to have self belief and be disciplined to win this one.
Lage lineman have a hard time picking up the unexpected blitz. They just can't get from point A to point B (ten feet away) quick enough. Big men are good in run blocking, but Harris will shut that down (again again again again). The Jet D will do everything possible to keep Romo in the pocket. Ellis will play some more OLB (just for his size), and expect another "spy" on Romo to run him down if he starts to scramle. Lots of man to man today with max QB pressure and pocket collapse and heavy "odd man blitzing". One blitz you will see today that we didn't see much of last week is the DB off the right end. Romo is smaller then Big Ben and a blitzing DB can take hom down. On Offense, if we can establish ANY kind of running game (should actually be esasier today than last week) look for play action and 12-15yd throws over the cheating safety. If we played Dallas at home last week, we win that game. Jets 29 Girls 27 in OT
I stand by what I said, especially after watching Witten score. The guy needs a cover safety on him. Revis plus Smith should be enough for TO.
1 garbage time TD and 65 yards against a rookie corner is a bit of a surprise to me. Probably to TO as well. After all, he's playing out of his mind right now. So I hear.
