+100 with the last 3 threads. Its all about AFC wins apparently and having KC and Pitt lose AFC games Facts: Jets have 3 AFC opponents and one NFC Steelers 4 AFC opponent KC 4 AFC opponents Both KC nd Pitt could potentially lose to 4 AFC opponents. Jets can afford(?) a NFC Dallas loss Odds: IMO KC has a 75% chance of winning all 4. Their hardest games are a road trip to Baltimore and Oakland at home. Easiest is Brownies at home IMO Pitt has a 25% chance of winning their remaining four. They have difficult games against Cincy away, Denver at home, away at Baltimore (always a rivalry). Easiest is the color of sh*t browns (away) who will overhaul their whole CS We have to pray Oakland can beat KC or get lucky with weather eg raining hard today in KC or they prob run the table. With Pitt they definitely drop 1 game mayebe 2 (Cincy, Denver, Balt will all be hard). It sickens me how the talking heads see Rapingburger and Steelers "the team no one wants to play". Looks like Jets have a better chance of holding off the Steelers and sharing WC with big fat Andy R and the Chief Jets: We have 3 games that matter. Titans, NE, and Buff. IMO we have a 40% of winning all three. The odds go higher to 50 or 60 percent if NE and Buff suffer signif injuries eg SWatson, Brady, Gronk and grrr Amendola always a game breaker. Which leads me to how the team will fight for Bowles....and play "over our heads" against two very tough opponent NE and Buff ....We gotta get lucky and push the envelope. we lost by 7 to the Pats and 5 to to the Bills. They are both winnable IMO. Also if Pitt has 2 loses not 1 I may be wrong but that helps us Go Bengals! Go Chargers! Go JETS!
On the money. 100% agree. Nice summary. Of course it goes without saying we can not get ahead of ourselves. Let's beat the Titants and see how the chips fall for the rest of the teams. It's going to boil down on how bad do we want it and do we have what it takes to overcome the obstacles in front of us. I think how the team responds to the challenge and what players take it to the next level ( besides the usual suspects) will speak volumes about the chemistry and belief of this team. For the vets in particular, this could be a now of never type of an opportunity, and the should treat it as such. Let the journey begin
The way I dialed up that app was all wins for the Jets and all "Ls" for the Patriots and the Bills. Is that too much to ask, football gods?!
If the Jets win the games they are supposed to win they'll be in, it's that simple. Should beat Tenn, should beat Dallas, should beat BUF. We'll see what happens in New England.
Pats will lose to the Jets and need to lose 2 more. They lose today and their one loss away from losing the division to the Jets with 2 to play.
Eagles look like they're gonna get run out of the building. Taylor kills them deep with Watkins and their bad run defense is gonna be the end of it. Their bs college offense sucks and way too many 3 and outs. Their D is gonna crumble and the bills run away with it, much to our jets dismay. Jets take care of business and it's moot for now but I though the Eagles would give us some help after the big win last week.m X factor is Rex though, we all know he can screw up a sure thing
At this point we do not control our own destiny, as we do not control the tiebreaker. Pittsburgh and Kansas City both won meaning all are at 8 and 5. The Jets must win out, especially considering the remaining schedules of KC and PIT. If both teams win out, the Jets miss the playoffs no matter what so we have to win out and hope at least one of those teams loses a game. The Steelers are vs Denver, at Baltimore, and at Cleveland. Chiefs are at Baltimore, vs Cleveland, and vs Oakland. If the Steelers beat the Broncos next week, our real hope is The Chiefs losing in week 17 in Oakland. Of course, any given Sunday.
Is it me or when the chips are down Cinci figures out a way to implode? I can't believe I was stupid enough to think Cinci would beat the Steelers. On other news, if KC only scored 10 points against the sorry ass Chargers they are not going to run the table. My prediction: expect at least one loss next week from them if not two, one each from KC and the Steelers. We need to cream the Cowboys and regain control of our destiny.
It'll be a damn shame if the Jets finished 11-5 (2nd highest win total in Franchise History) and STILL MISS the playoffs.
I don't see us winning out, but I can easily see us winning 10 games and missing the playoffs. Easily. To be honest, it would be cosmic justice for us sneaking into the playoffs in 2009.
You never know, I'm not worried yet. Injuries can still happen to us or the other teams, I mean maybe Brady goes down when JJ Watt crushes him? Maybe Brandon Marshall tears his ACL... It's interesting to know the situation so you can follow along, but I'm just looking forward to the Cowboys in prime time.
Looking at the remaining three weeks the Steelers and Chiefs have easier schedules...if all three teams (Jets, Chiefs, Steelers) win the rest of their games the Jets are out at 11-5 if you could believe it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
