    I can't speak for professional athletes but I know for a fact that when I'm jogging and meet up with a pedestrian and another jogger that my step gets lighter and there is more bounce and rhythm to my gait. Same thing when you hit a good tee shot. You feel good of course but even better that the rest of your foursome saw your shot. It's an adrenalin thing.

    The bottom line is that fans matter. Fan culture matters too, just ask the Steelers with their terrible towels fans if that's ever made a difference on game day.
