Unfortunately that only gives them more leverage, that and the age difference. I'd love to see the FO keep Turner in Green and White for the rest of his career but it's pretty obvious that the guy has talent. Someone is probably going to give him a better offer than a back-up deal.
Ducasse doesn't (Or didn't) have the lateral movement required to be moved to tackle. However,The guy is a solid guard who excels in the running game, just rewatch his preseason games and you'll see. He had trouble with guys who could go around and that's not gonna fly @ tackle.
Vladimir Ducasse played left tackle in college. He had trouble adjusting to the speed of the game - he's plenty capable enough to play tackle in the NFL. Also: green font is gay
I don't know if Ducasse can play tackle in the NFL or not, but I do know that his ability to play left tackle for U freaking Mass doesn't mean crap.
From what I understand Woody has said, "He isn't necessarily retired." It takes a long while to heal from that injury, perhaps he is just waiting.....
Whoa...no need to rip on the Minutemen. And what is most impressive is his run blocking and his athleticism for his size. That plays well to RT.
James Ihedigbo played safety at U freaking Mass. Can he play safety? Vladimir Ducasse has great upside, especially as a run blocker. Ducasse was a developmental pick. I feel sorry for posters like yourself that don't know what the word developmental means.
true. Question is how much development will he need and how good will he be at the end of it He almost got Sanchez KILLED twice last year in the preseason if I remember correctly From what I saw last year he looks like he needs tons more work He should have improved though so I'll be watching closely this preseason
Agreed and agreed. Woody is not coming back. Too fat, too injured, too old. Thanks for the years, Woody!
Actually, Ihedigbo really can't play safety. He's a special teams demon but he's still deep, deep on the bench. But sure, small school guys can make it at the pros from time to time. My only point is that Ducasse's ability to play LT at a small program doesn't tell me much about whether he can play LT (or RT) in the pros. I need other information (like watching him try to play tackle in the pros, watching workouts, whatever) to know whether he's athletic enough to be a pro tackle.
