then its a backup player that the Jets must not need.

I hope we didn't trade more than a 6th for him.

I'd be pretty pissed if we gave up a draft pick (even if it's a late one) to pick this guy's brain. Hopefully a deal is in the works that involves Clemens or O'Connell for a WR. Ainge should remain with the Jets tho. He's looked great this Pre-Season.

Rex mentioned it after the Philly game.

How about trading him for the Broncos punter... I actually am half serious... the guy has a very 45-46 yds punt average!

But that's at 5200 feet. Half of them are anyway.

I suppose. But for me, O'Connell stinking like week-old fish seems easier to believe than the Detroit Lions suddenly turning into savvy NFL power brokers.

The way the Raiders operate the only guy they want backing up Russell is the water boy... gotta love the reasoning they cut Garcia.... "He is going to put too much pressure on Russell to succeed." Obviously I'm paraphrsing but that that's the jist of it.

Why is there no news about what we gave or who we dropped/exchanged?

We'll probably make another move today (my guess) and announce what we gave up then. So we likely gave up something as of right now that will not make us fans very happy.

Not at all. the dismal the reign of the William Clay Fords didn't begin with Matt Millen. He just magnified it.

BTW - I heard Millen doing color during one of the college games yesterday. Not entirely bad. Not great, but not bad either.

If they traded a pick, this only makes sense if they deal Clemens/Ainge. Otherwise WTF? Need to hold on to our picks. No need trading them for QBs who will probably not even see the field.

Not to get off topic here but I've heard Jon Gruden do a few games also and he really knows his stuff. He actually makes it pretty exciting to listen to unlike most commentators.

Millen was very good on FOX before he went to Detroit and Isaiah Thomas'd himself.

Why would Clemens be on IR?

If we're giving up picks, why wouldn't they just call the eagles or the seahawks and say we'll give u a 7th rounder for branch/lewis. Terrible.
