Looking at this list made me think about having a bigger back to pair with Carter. The guy I really watched this year was Haskins from Michigan. He gets no love from the media/no hype but man that kid is tuff. Converted from linebacker I think so he has that hard nosed mentality. He has played in the cold, rain, snow etc...so New York weather wont have an impact on him. He will go later in the draft possibly the 4th.
Sign this beast! He looks pretty good. I think it would be huge for the Jets to have a big target like that for Zach where he could just throw it up and let the WR go get it.
Good work! Thanks for the update. While you're at it, it seems time to list Pinnock as a safety? New York Jets: How did Jason Pinnock play after switch to safety? (usatoday.com)
Thanks as always for pulling this together pretty underwhelming roster…but of the UFA, I would for sure want to sign Berrios and Moses, and maybe Flacco. Maye and Foley at the right price. I’m not counting on Becton without insurance at the tackle spot…and too many injuries with Davis and Moore to be without some viable receivers….Berrios is one of those underrated guys who does a lot, and is a great returner…we have always devalued that role and never paid returners but they are valuable. there are a few guys we can cut too…the usual suspects in GVR, Perine, Mims, etc I’ll say this…we need a great draft
TE's Mcbride, Fergusson and #40 but not sure who that is yet lol All look very pleased with our Coach.
Yes, and these guys (and others in a deep TE class) would represent a significant uptick in our TE talent! Conversely, a look at the Senior Bowl kickers gave me a new appreciation for Eddie Pineiro. Sign the beast!
This list contains the most pathetic LB corps in the NFL. And I read today that Douglas is happy with what he has at LB and CB, and wants to upgrade OL. DL, Safety, and TE first. If he doesn't upgrade LB and WR also, it will be a long season. I really think Douglas has himself convinced that the two mid round safeties he drafted last year are, or can become, NFL LBs--hope I am wrong on your thinking, Joe, because they play like Darron Lee stopping the run.
I think JD isn't going to tip his plans at all...at least I hope so. But if this is really what he thinks then I'll start getting a bit worried.
Yeah we need LB help badly…though I do like Q Williams I don’t think he’s going to draft CB high at all…I do think he’ll try and find an edge and more OL and I hope he goes WR as well
I don't know anything about coach Middleton and I absolutely love the guy. I defy anybody to come up with anyone else on Earth that just visually looks like a football coach more than this guy. I saw him for 2 seconds the game Saleh missed and I just thought to myself "we're in good hands here"
Remember that decade where Marino was throwing to the 3 Smurfs? 3 WRs who averaged 5'-6" and they ran the XY and Z routs for 1000+ yards and 10+ TDs each every season!? Maybe we need to bring back the Smurfs, only this time they will all be mirror images of Elijha Moore. Moore, braxton, and one more midget. What's Chrebet doin??? Rip. It. Up!!!
Solid moves to resign Joyner and Parks. Depth is needed. I wonder how much they like Pinnock though. He seemed to show well when called on. Is it possible they see him as a future starter at FS?
