I think we all know that Douglas was the single employee of the New York Jets who was in the strongest position to keep Adams on the team. He didn't and the Jets are poorer for it. The easy moves are not the ones that earn him his salary.

It's called negotiation; both sides are on an even footing. Douglas didn't want a deal bad enough and the Jets defense is suffering because of it.

Worst take ever by you and trust me thats saying alot.

The fact that anyone could think Mac should still be here shows you literally know nothing about football.

Ha! My first thought when I read this this morning was, "When the hell did I type that?" I will do my best to refrain from drunk posting in the future.

So embarassing. I got out with friends for the first time in months yesterday. A metric ton of shots were consumed. I passed out in my couch. Apparently I had time to make that dumbass post first. Woof.

  10. There is no form of industry where negotiations justify publicly criticizing an organization,co workers, management & ownership. The fact that you think this is common practice in a TEAM oriented sport is extremely alarming.

    Adams didnt “negotiate”.Adams “sabotaged”.

    Understand the difference

Where did I say anything was common practice and why should anything posted by anyone on a fan site be "extremely alarming" to anyone? The NFL is a much more public business than any other and the atmosphere surrounding all negotiations is different. than at Chase or Microsoft or even at Joe's Pizza. Nobody "sabotaged" anything.

The fact remains that the Jets point man in the negotiations was Douglas - he's the one who could make it or break it. It broke.

Great post! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, whatever happens to Gase, he has a permanent spot at my dinner table. I’ll forever love him for forcing Mcagnan out!

He may have gotten everything else wrong, but he needs credit for that.
