We have been bitten by the wildfire bug here in coastal sc. windy and dry. Have a 500 acre fire burning in the Carolina forest area, where there are huge developments of houses.
Hard to believe this is going on 10 minute drive from here . Now 1400 acres https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=2659334510943209
We really should have one. I used to. Luckily these fires are far enough away. It’s amazing , 2500 acres and they have so far saved every structure, outside of some melted siding and a few melted vinyl fences
time to revive this thread . Some pretty bad pictures coming out of Jamaica . I’m standing in the middle of chimney rock nc right now . The destruction is unbelievable. But very happy to see the stores are open. Will post some pics later as the service is bad. Lake lure has no water in it .
Here's something I got during Google Nest's last update. My Google Nest now does MARINE FORECASTS! Great for us fishermen!!
Finally replacing the Ariens. Went electric with the EGO 24" 2 stage 56V blower. Much lighter than the Ariens I hope it performs better too.
If possible, could you please post a review once you get to run it a few times? I might be in the market to replace my blower in the not too distant future and I’m always open to suggestions. I’m not too tech savvy. Thanks!
Not a problem.. We got 3 in inbound on Tuesday so I'll be able to give it a quick test run. I'll let ya know here how it performs. The reason why I'm sidelining my Ariens is weight. I'm a bit older now and need to go lighter. I also went electric on the leaf blower too which was a stunning success. My gas powered backpack ECHO probably will be put on FB Marketplace as I don't anticipate using it because of... weight.
So far not enough snow out here yet to use it. I can absolutely vouch for the leaf blower though. I got the EGO 765cfm model. Light but very powerful with 200mph air power. Can move just about any pile of leaves in front of it. If the snowblower comes close to that? I will be letting the Ariens go as well.
Okay.. Not enough snow to run the new snow blower but the perfect opportunity to run my new EGO 765cfm electric leaf blower. It cleared my driveway, doorway and walkway on one charge no problem. Cleared both of my sidewalks on the second battery. Wifey was skeptical but not anymore. She walked behind me with the salt spreader, and we were done with everything in 45mins flat. About 3in. of snow. Not powder, not waterlogged snow. If you're thinking about buying, think electric. Lighter and far more powerful than people give them credit for. I don't think I'll be using my backpack blower again unless the electric doesn't work. I would imagine similar results with my E-snowblower too. While the initial investment might be a bit painful, in the long run, you'll be thankful as you'll be spared the pull starts, sore back, gasoline spills, oil changes, etc. Next reasonable snow we get out here hopefully I'll be able to run the Blower. I'll keep you guys poseted.
