If this were January storm...it would be record breaking. Just checked NWS numbers and the ratios they are using are about 8 to 1. Feel better about the big numbers. Now...if this were a January storm, many would be in the 24-30 range.

You guys know the ole 1 inch a rain to 10 inches of snow routine. Just to show how difficult that is in the winter....in the summer if predicted to get 2 inches of rain and you get 1....most would not notice that much. If you are predicted to get 15" of snow and get 6....huge bust right?

Winter is tough...regardless...lets see if we have late day surprises or overnight....looks like a general 10-16 event and in the heaviest bands...closer to 20.

You know my theory on wet snow Brook..but I know that's not possible in your case sir. My guess is that NWS is saying around a 10 or 11 ending...so I would move that up to around 7 give or take an hour.

He's got time to get warmed up in the tub and start stretching his back for the big battle.

Brook should set up a cam of his driveway during the storm from beginning to end. I could see him coming out to check the weight and depth several times an hour...rubbing his head...sipping from his cup...back inside..only to return and do it all over again. Perhaps we will see him stick his middle finger in the air with disgust..pointed towards the northeast...where CBG will be starring out the window with a childish grin.

    Ahh....its just a dream.

Hey stinky. Sorry if I gave the wrong impression. I won't shovel. Still my neighbor will do it for me. :) But I promise. I will start changing my lifestyle and share my progress. :)

Amazing good agreement for a storm that shouldn't have good agreement.

No such thing as written in stone...not with weather...but there is nowhere to point for a bunch of models that agree to go towards an outlier.

So if the models agree...wheres the beef...or the bust.

The way this now can bust it seems is if what falls should give you over a foot but you only get 8 or 9. Daytime heating of march. Dynamics are giving that idea a big ....F....U...

So what else to look for? I truly cant think of anything other than the usual...nowcasting and the radar lets say not getting far enough north then the models stated? Grasping at straws. Looks like a very solid setup...with the proverbial ... some will go higher than forecasted.

    Don't really see 24's or 19's jonnny...really don't. But you are a 12-16 range. 19 wouldn't blow me away with this one.
