He is allowed to hold out for the first 10 games and still qualify for UFA, much like Ogunleye planned on doing with the Fins.
BTW since you guys don't live in Packerland I'm sure you didn't hear... about 2 months ago, Walker got a new agent, it's not Drew anymore
Eric Moulds was traded for a fifth rounder, why would the Jets have to give up more then a fouth rounder to get Walker??? Walker is only five years younger too. YEAR TEAM G REC YDS AVG LNG TD FD FUM LOST Eric's stats 2004 BUF 16 88 1043 11.9 49 5 53 1 1 2005 BUF 15 81 816 10.1 55 4 38 0 0 Javon's stats 2004 GNB 16 89 1382 15.5 79 12 63 2 2
is only 5 years younger? thats a big diffrence.i would give up #35 in a heartbeat for walker he great talant and has proven he can dominate being #1 guy. as for that not a team player farve screwed him last year when he was tryna get his contract re done. farve was way outta line commenting on another guys contract situation.
That's probably fair, but moulds only brought back an 5th round pick. How come the jets can't low ball a team and get an steal????? NOway he comands an first rounder or second rounder, if greenbay believes that.
He yaps too much and only had 1 good year only because Favre was gunning the ball to him...that's all I gotta say about that
or maybe hes sick of dealing with the brett favre legacy long over and stretching out. brett favre did publicly address walker earlier in the season (wrong or right) im sure he might just actually be sick of the team and where theyre headed after firing sherman whose record doesnt reflect alot of things.
so we should draft a bunch of people who carent developed enough to start now anyways? i say javon is worth a 3rd and 4th. He used to be part of one of the more threatening duos in the NFL, i tihnk he would bring alot to the team
I don't want walker on this team. A blown knee, and for high picks in this draft is stupid. There is too good a value there with our second and third round picks that I would be fine seeing what cotchery can do and see him develop.
First of all-at best the Pack would get a 2nd or 3rd for him-TO went for a 2nd round pick-Chad Johnson would not even be two 1st round picks-but either way im very happy with our WRs. I still think Coles has it and I love Justin and with Jerricho emerging and maybe add another WR in the draft like Haas, Stovall, Avant, or even Jennings, I think were in good shape.
I meant he was 5 years younger then Moulds with comparable numbers and with only one great receiving year. You could argue that moulds is the better Wideout because he played with little protection from he's receiving core the last two years and a second year QB. While Walker had Favre and was the slot receiver. And Moulds got an fifth rounder. Coming off injury, wanting to leave GreenBay, having to sign Walker, a third should be the most they get. I would hope for a fouth rounder.
