Bob Saleh could always develop backers
Really wish we wouldn’t have fired him until at least December…oh well

Just want to echo this sentiment. He is making tackles, but none of them are meaningful or impact plays. The defense is getting torched regularly and he is part of the problem. I'd agree that Quincy seems to be doing worse than Sherwood, but I don't particularly think either are particularly impactful.

I disagree with you guys. Someone has got to actually make the tackle. Many guys on this defense are shying away from contact, whereas Sherwood puts his nose in every play. I think he is having a really good season.

MLBs are smaller now anyway across the league, he just represents a new style. Yes, you'd like to see him make some big plays, I think that's the next step in his development. I also think a new (better) defensive coordinator would move him closer to the ball, for some reason Ulbrich plays his guys too far back IMO

I think he's a very good player that's out of position

to piggyback, I don’t remember this team making a game changing play since probably MCD like in game 3-4? lol. They simply don’t make plays like that…I think they all need a change, get a fatty on the line, stop the wide 9, or having the LB’s play the way they do. How about our corners make some interceptions, or forcing fumbles. It’s just a ho hum defense right now.

do they even blitz anymore? They just line up in a base set and hope for the best.

God forbid Sherwood gets sent on a delayed blitz up the middle, he might actually cause a fumble or something

Ulbrich can't handle being HC and DC at the same time

He wasn't blitzing much before Saleh was fired either. He's totally overrated.
